I enjoyed this so much! Great way to see the lights at night through out the city....safe, and great for my grandaughter to end the day. As an adult, seeing the skyline from the Brooklyn bridge was something you are not able to see this well....fabulous
Great way to see the city at night, wrap up warm on cold or windy nights.
Great tour only spoilt by the cold but well worth taking to see the areas.
Bought for my daughter as part of her 30th birthday celebration in the big apple. My daughter, her husband and her sister really enjoyed the experience and the photographs were amazing. It was freezing but it was the end of November. I am hoping to visit New York next year and I will definitely do this tour, I will be visiting in the summer or fall so it won't be as cold!
The Open Loop NIght Tour was a perfect ending to a busy day and the most enjoyable way to traverse Times Square I can think of. Our guide, Bryant, was knowledgeable and entertaining throughout the trip. He is an great ambassador for the city and offered pearls of wisdom for visitors!
We loved the tour!!!! It was a great way to see the city on our first night. Going over the Manhattan Bridge was a bonus. I didn and #39;t expect to see the beautiful views of Manhattan from the other side of the Hudson . We only wish the audio was more informative. It was boring heating the same tune play.
We liked the tour very much, but it could be improved. We have been to NYC before, but would have liked to hear some narration about what we were seeing. Times Square and the Brooklyn Bridge were obvious, but not everything else. Our driver was very nice and we enjoyed the tour.
Good tour. Our family from India enjoyed every-bit of it. Please pack some blankets for windy NY nights :
Bryant the tour guide did his best to entertain the crew and he succeeded. It was a fun ride and we could take a lot of nice pictures. His microphone was though very loud and he was singing a bit too much. Otherwise I would have given 5 points.
Excellent views, exactly as described. Only down was that there was no one up top to keep order, many people would stand up making the bus unsafe.
Great NYC views. Someone should let tourists know to get headsets before proceeding upstairs to sit. Also, driver should be aware of the low tree branches coming off Williamsburg Bridge that smack you in face without warning !
The ride was good, although a lot of times it seemed difficult to take pictures as we went by the sites so quickly. Our tour guide was a little much. I didn't take the trip to hear his political views and comments. He was also pushy in regards to his tips. We always tip on these type of tours, but never in all of my experiences have I had a guide be so forceful about it.
tour was interesting .however I was expecting someone with a microphone to tell us where we were and what buildings, etc we were seeing. I have done bus tours in the past and that is how it was done as boat cruise was done Viator should provide more precise information about guided tour. We needed to have our own earphones to plug in to bus outlets to hear tour. That was not specified so we did not bring them with us. So we did not benefit as we should have.
The tour was good and the sights were amazing. Though it can improve on 2 accounts:
1. Most importantly the microphone wasn't working, neither were the earphone docks so we,people who've never been to New York City before and who were sitting in the middle of the bus surrounded by the sound of traffic, had no clue what the buildings were. It would have been a bit better if the guide had sat in the middle of the bus but he came to the middle for just about 2 mins and then went back to the very front of the busNo tips for you Mr. Tour Guide.
2. Though I understand that unlike a hop-on/hop-off bus these buses do not stop it would have been so much better if the bus could slow down around major attractions so that we can take pictures. Sadly all I have to remind me of this tour is many blurs of light to show what I saw.
So while they covered most of the attractions the above points need to be considered.
The tour was not that great. Hard to hear tour guide and what I did hear was not well explained.
A bit disappointing as the audio hardly worked and the bus went pass some areas quickly so only got blurred photos ..I f you want to do this tour I would recommend one where there is a conductor on board
OPEN LOOP night tour: DO NOT DO IT!
1.we were given wrong information on the pick up location WHICH IS NOT THE ONE YOU SEE ON THE WEBSITE and provided by the front desk.
2. AWFUL organization: we saw secondary and ugly streets, the guide was not prepared and the driver was unprofessional. DISASTER
Pick up was at a different point than that shown. No commentary. Would not recommend this tour company.
This was not a tour in the sense that there was any commentary or explanation of what could be seen. About 15 minutes into our time on the bus, one of the other passengers came upstairs with a pair of headphones, saying that they were in a basket on the first floor of the bus. The driver had not mentioned this. We got a couple pairs of headphones, but found, as other passengers did, that none of the audio ports produced any intelligible sound. It was then, essentially, a bus ride. If I recall, we rode all the way down 5th Avenue, across the Manhattan Bridge, turned around in Brooklyn, and rode back up 6th Avenue. Not certain of the return route, though, because I had gone downstairs in the bus with a member of our party who could no longer take the cold. On the first floor of the bus the billboard window shades block most of what can be seen through the windows at night. Sort of better than nothing maybe, but mostly felt like a big waste of money X 6.
