Very nice comfortable car with an easy pick up process Carmelcars were absolutely fantastic. They use self employed drivers so you pay the toll charges and the drivers tip. The tip is supposed to be up to you but our driver stated upfront how much he wanted ( cheeky ) I mentioned this to the company and they insisted on refunding that amount to me in full. This is a more expensive way to travel than a yellow cab but more luxurious and also guaranteed.

I paid for a standard car from JFK to NYC as I have many times in the pass. This time a driver shows up in a nasty dirty mini van. Disgusting. Never again.

No waiting around

Our layover flight was delayed several times and arrived 6-7hrs later than we were supposed to, needless to say we were exhausted from traveling. Thankfully our driver was already there waiting for us! No waiting around for them at all. Loaded our bags and wasted no time in getting us safely to our hotel. Will definitely be using their car service again!

Transfer good, phone line bad

Actual transfer was good however the phone line is terrible and the staff quite rude. No indication is given as to how much notice you need to give of your arrival and, despite me advising that we were waiting for baggage, the agent was quite rude when I advised that I couldn't guarantee we would be ready in 5-7 minutes.

Didn’t turn up!

I booked and paid for a transfer from EWR New Jersey to NYC. The vehicle was not there and did not arrive. I called the cab company who told me the pick up details don’t get to themselves for 24 hours. I suppose inferring they hadn’t received my reservation. I had to book another cab. Now I can’t get any response to a request for a refund!

Easy service and on time. Pick up was within minutes of calling. Slight issue in that the number does not work from a UK mobile.

Followed the instructions and called after getting luggage. Was advised where to meet the car, type of vehicle and my name would be on a sign. Car showed up within 5 minutes and driver Bing Li was courteous and drove safely in bumper to bumper traffic. All in all a good service at a good price.

The driver was not waiting at the right location though we have provided our international flight number, we called 4 times and we waited 1 hour for the driver to come, after 10 hours flight, completely unacceptable and very poor experience
