We only had a few hours since this was our last day in NYC and we wanted to visit the Statue of Liberty. Our tour guide Nikki was amazing! This is a great tour if you don't have a lot of time.
Kristen was a wonderful guide even got down on her back to take our picture with the Statue hovering over us! She is very knowledgeable and you can tell she loves what she does.
This was amazing! Such good value and the guide was great - once you tumbled to his New York sense of humour! I would absolutely recommend this tour.
Mark was a great tour guide! Recommended for first time visitors to get the narrative.
We thoroughly enjoyed the 3.5 hour tour of the Statue of Liberty and Ellis Island with Kristin. It went by quickly and we appreciated all the info Kristin had. She made everyone in our group feel comfortable and included. Would highly recommend this tour and Kristin! She even took pictures for us!
Uncle Jeffrey is a great lover of history of Ellis Island and Lady Liberty. He gave us insight into the creation and building of the statue one would not get in history books as well as the building of Ellis Island and those who came thru there. Weather was perfect.
The tour was fantastic! A great deal was due to our guide Christine. She was very personable, knowledgeable and helpful. You could really feel how passionate she was about her job! Thanks again Chrisine for a great experience.
My wife and I felt doubly blessed to find this great tour option. First, we didn't plan it until the last minute, but found it easy to find and very well-done. Our guide, Kristen, was so pleasant, helped us stay on pace through the security wickets, kept us alert of the best places to view things and even laid on the ground to take our pictures from the base of the Statue of Liberty. Second, its early start is SO important as you avoid the crush of people that begins just an hour later. By the time we came down from the Statue's pedestal, Liberty Island was swamped with people. We also enjoyed riding the PATH train into WTC and taking the 15 minute walk down Broadway past the historic St. Paul's and Trinity churches and the W.S. Bull. We grabbed breakfast from a deli and ate at the picnic tables in front of Pier A House, the link up point, with a view of Battery Park and the Statue. It was perfect!
Uncle Jeffrey was so charming. He brought life to the history surrounding the statue and the plight of immigrants coming through Ellis Island. The early access was worth it! Seeing the crowds showing up later in the day made us grateful we got started so early!
Rob was great. Good value for the money. No lines at ferry or on the islands.
SO glad we booked this tour. We didn't plan our trip early enough to make it to the top of the Statue of Liberty but glad we made it into the pedestal. The museum in there is really nice and our tour guide Amanda filled us in on many good stories. She really made this tour fantastic! Had a lot of tidbits, kept the tour moving but we had plenty of time to see everything we wanted. She even took pictures of everyone under the statue! Great walk thru on Ellis Island and again, Amanda full of knowledge so we didn't have to read everything. We had the early tour which allowed us on one of the first ferry's to the island so it wasn't crowded. I HIGHLY recommend this tour!
Rob, our guide was well prepared and extremely knowledgable. Rob's ability to share/teach about the history of both Lady Liberty and Ellis Island was engaging and thorough. He was personable
and related well to our 11 yr old daughter, as well as the other children on the tour. I would highly recommend this tour and Rob as a guide.
Good value, informative tour. I come to NYC frequently but hadn't been to the Statue since I was in elementary school. This tour was well run, had a visible meeting spot, and was a highlight of our trip. Uncle Jeffrey is a kind, entertaining soul who represents so much of NYC - a place where you can follow your dreams and connect with people from all over the world. He was knowledgeable and passionate about the statute and her history.
Our guide, Jerry, was extremely knowledgeable, thorough, and conscientious! He did a terrific job!
The tour was great! Jerry was very friendly and knowledgeable. The only concern I had was that we showed up 30 minutes early and no one was there. We weren't sure if we were in the right place. The guides didn't arrive until 10-15 minutes before meet time.
Wonderful, informative, friendly. Quality tour guide, Jon, made it fun and educational. Well Worth the price.
Hector our tour guide was great. Very informative and caring. Very knowledgeable and gave us a good understanding of what immigrants went through at Ellis Island. We live the picture that he took on our cell at Statue of Liberty! Thank you Hector! You are the best! The Boswells.
The tour and guide were great. You need more time to go thru the museums by yourself though. Paperwork was messed up by the corporate office but the guide took care of it quickly and we were relieved we didn and #39;t have to waste time on the phone.
Extremely informative and well organized. All aspects of both Ellis Island and the Statue of Liberty explained in an insightful and thorough way. I highly recommend.
We did the Statue of Liberty/Ellis Island tour as well as the 9/11 and Observation Tower tour. We were lucky enough to get Simona as our guide for SOL and we loved her so much we requested her for the 9/11 tour. She is knowledgeable, considerate, thorough, funny, kind and just an absolute delight. The other guides seemed wonderful as well but IMHO, Simona is the best!
Walks of NY was wonderful from start to finish. Booking was simple and though we had a slight problem with our third tour it got canceled by NBC, not Walks of NY they still stepped up and offered many generous alternative options to keep us happy. We are looking forward to touring with their sister company, Walks of Italy, later this year. Well run company with super nice people. Plus they help you avoid the long lines. So worth it!
This was an excellent tour. Our guide, Derrick, was personable, informative, and knowledgeable. He moved us through the whole tour efficiently - tough to do given the two boat rides and massive crowds.
At the Statue of Liberty we were taken into the pedestal where Derrick led us through the museum explaining the creation of the statute and its restoration. We went to the top of the pedestal where he noted more about the statue itself as well as pointing out the views of New York and New Jersey.
We took another boat trip to Ellis Island where Derrick took us through the immigrant experience and provided an excellent overview of the island and its buildings. We were allowed to stay on the island to further explore the exhibits and take a later boat back to New York on our own.
Excellent tour outstanding guide. Highly recommended.
This was a very in-depth tour of the Statue of Liberty/Ellis Island. Uncle Jeff was an excellent, knowledgeable and very entertaining guide. There's no waiting in line except to get on the ferries and everything goes very smoothly. If you are a first time visitor to NYC this is a must.
I had somehow missed visiting the Statue of Liberty each time I had visited New York and this tour was a great way to see this iconic landmark and getting to know the history behind it. We had an amazing guide: knowledgeable, energetic and passionate about her job to make sure the needs of each and every member of our group was addressed. We also visited Ellis island, which was the place where 12 mn immigrants to US in the late 18 th century and early 19th century landed. Wonderful tour -well worth it
our guide was outstanding very personable and knowledgeable. would do it again.
