This tour was awesome and definitely well worth it! It was a nice small group. The tour guide AMANDA was excellent! She was extremely knowledgeable and provided amazing stories and facts. I really like how the tour went with the morning at the Statue of Liberty.
Rob was great. It was easy to find the meeting places. Wear comfortable shoes, it is a lot of walking.
Interesting and educational tour with Mark, a great guide. Well worth the money
Rob was an excellent tour guide! His knowledge was extensive and he made the tour very enjoyable. He shared some of his personal family history, which was a very nice touch. The tour covers all of the main points at a comfortable pace. I highly recommend this tour!
Jeff was our fantastic tour guide for the Statue of Liberty and Ellis Island tour part. He was very informative about each destination and the history of New York. My wife and I were enchanted by Jeff's dramatic flair.
It was just fabulous and our guides were so informative. A great way to see the sights.
Great way to see Ellis Island and Statue of Liberty! Worth every penny for Pedestal access and to skip the lines! We loved this tour!
This tour is a must when you visit New York! In the morning we were so fortunate to have Amanda as our tour guide. She was very knowledgeable and informative. She took great care to make sure we had the best vantage points for pictures and the best views. Not only did she teach us all about the Statue of Liberty and Ellis Island, she gave us tips on how to get around New York and recommendations of other things to see. It was a great experience for our first time in New York!
John was the tour guide for the 9/11 part in the afternoon. He was NYPD and there on site during 9/11. He had first hand knowledge of exactly what it was like during that tradgedy! His descriptions and accounts made you feel as if you were almost there. Incredibly informative and moving!
Amazing tour of The Statue of Liberty and Ellis Island! Recommend getting the 1st ferry if possible. It gets very crowded! We took a subway from Times Square, and it was very easy. A short walk down to Battery Park. Highly recommend. You can take a nice walk up Wall Street when you are done.
Our tour was wonderful! The tour guide, Rob was friendly, funny and very informational. I will recommend this tour to family and friends.
We thoroughly enjoyed this tour with our morning guide, Amanda, who was amazing, as she guided us through our tour of the Statue of Liberty and Ellis Island. My husband has a disability and she was so helpful, pointing out elevators and making sure we found our way in and out of all the parts of the tour without losing the group. She was very skillful and articulate, walking us through the museums and explaining facts in a most interesting way.
For our afternoon tour of lower Manhattan and the 9/11 Memorials, we had John, who was a former NYPD Detective and a first responder on that fateful day. He personally knew many of the police and firemen who lost their lives that day, making his narrative of the events very moving. It was easy to see the emotion he felt recalling those tough memories of horror and loss. The memorials that he walked us to were quite amazing and beautifully crafted, especially the fountain outside of the 9/11 Museum. The Museum itself was very well done and very moving. It was hard to look at some of the pictures without instantly recalling the sick feeling in the pit of your stomach that we all felt watching those events unfold that day. This tour was amazing and well worth the time and money spent. Both tour guides were top notch.
This was my first time to New York and wanted to make sure I had the best experience. I am so happy I booked this tour our tour guide was wonderful. I would recommend this tour to everyone!
Amanda was an incredible guide. She had so much knowledge both historical and contemporary. She kept the kids entertained with movie anecdotes and references while I enjoyed her historical knowledge. I learned several things I'd never known before. The morning tour of the Statue of Liberty and Ellis Island was enjoyable, well paced and we never felt rushed. It was the afternoon tour of the Trade Center grounds that showed her true skill. She handled such a sensitive story with skill. She addressed the events of September 11th with honesty but heartfelt emotion. Then, once it was out there, she changed the story and focused on the positives that came from such a horrific event. There was true class and skill with what she said and how she handles it.
All in all the tours because it's really three tours in one are excellent and it's a great value for it all.
Amanda was an amazing tour guide! Despite the bad weather, she made the day extremely enjoyable and interesting. Our whole group was so glad we decided to do a tour to get a lot more information and perspective. We would definitely do the tour again!
Highest recommendation because the tour deserves it. Our guide was extremely knowledgeable, professional, and most important very accessible and friendly. Viatour has always been a quality experience, but this was the best, and if you have to make the most of your New York, do this!
This was two tours in one. The morning was Statue of Liberty and Ellis Island and the afternoon was Lower Manhattan, 9/11 Memorial and Museum. Both tours were excellent and I would thoroughly recommend these to anyone. It was a full on day but a great way to see everything in a short time frame. Our tour guide Kristin was fantastic. A really lovely lady who was extremely informative, and really helpful.
The tour was really informative, and our tour guide Uncle Jeffrey was truely brilliant, he made it what it was, his enthusiasm for Ellis Island and Lady Liberty made it as famous as broadway.
A good tour for someone wanting to do several things in the one day. You begin the day by catching the ferry to the Statue of Liberty, you get to climb the pedestal, then back to the ferry to Ellis Island where you then have a lunch break. The afternoon session takes you through the 9/11 memorial site and finishes at the memorial museum, where you can spend the rest of your afternoon.
Guides Amanda and Jeff were very knowledgable and had lots of interesting facts throughout the day. They made the day run quite smoothly and gave little tidbits of information like which side of the ferry to sit on. I was glad I did the tour.
guide was informative and easy to follow along. worth the price and will recommend to others.
