- Not wheelchair accessible
- There are no refunds to passengers who arrive late and miss the tour
- Trolley seats are in pairs. Solo travelers must allow others to sit next to them or purchase that 2nd seat in advance if they wish to keep it empty
- Our drivers have updated manifests on their smart phones. Cancelled tickets are not accepted for admission

My husband and daughter have never been to Newport, RI so I thought this would the best way to experience it. Was I so ever right!!! Our driver, Rob was extremely informative and had a great personality! He made sure to narrate each highlighted spot and he even slowed down and pulled to the side of the road so we could take pictures. I would definitely recommend this tour to anyone that has never been to Newport, RI. We got in our car and retook the same route and it was a fun thing to do on our own too!

A good way to familiarise yourself with Newport. Narrative by the driver was at 120mph and aimed at the American audience, not that it mattered. We just took what we wanted from it.

Very Disappointing Guide

I was very disappointed with this trolley tour. I've done a trolley tour in Newport on an earlier visit (I think it was a different company) that was so much better. I wondered why this guide sped through the streets on the the 1st part of the tour, but got my answer when we got over to the Eisenhower House. He said we were running 7 minutes early so we could take a break and get off the trolley and take pictures. He also rushed through the rest of the tour and didn't point out or talk about a lot of the sites. It was lucky for me that I had previously taken an informative tour in the past and remembered those stories. I felt bad for the other people who didn't know how much info they were missing. This guide rushed through so fast that we even got back about 10 minutes early. I do trolley rides wherever I go and this was the 1st time I had a bad experience. I'm hoping that this was just isolated to this guide and not the company.

Thank you for taking our 10am tour on 7/11/22. You failed to mention in the review the driver left the platform 7 minutes early because all passengers were on board. As a result, the trolley arrived in the area of the Eisenhower House 7 minutes ahead of schedule.The extra time allowed the driver to give everyone a photo opportunity and exit the trolley at the beautiful Bennington Overlook as a bonus.
The trolley arrived at Bennington 25 minutes from the departure time and traveled 3.8 miles, making the average vehicle speed 9.1 miles per hour. We don't see how that's "speeding through the streets."
The light traffic on that Monday morning was the reason the trolley was able to get back to the terminal 10 minutes ahead of schedule as well. The trolley left the terminal at 9:53am and returned at 11:20am, giving passengers an 87 minute tour instead of 90 minutes. We're sorry you felt short-changed over those 3 minutes.

The worst experience I have ever had. Due to unforeseen traffic we arrived a minute before the departure time. My husband ran to tell the driver, I was coming. As I had knee surgery 3 months ago, it was taking me a little longer. The very rude driver said he couldn’t wait, call the office and took off. So my $77 were lost. I did text but was told the other trolleys were sold out. I have done this many times and have never need treated like this. I also called the office and received a call back from someone said I should have been there earlier, etc, etc. There was no customer service or offer to accommodate in any way. Will never recommend this excursion to anyone in the future.

You are not being truthful. You did not arrive 1 minute prior to departure. Your car arrived on America's Cup Ave at 11:34 as the trolley was pulling away. Your husband attempted to hold the trolley while you parked the car, which would have taken until at least 11:45.
It's not fair to our RESPONSIBLE passengers who arrive on time to make them sit there waiting for a straggler for an extra 15 minutes.
It is well documented in our writings prior to purchasing your ticket to account for traffic and construction and arrive 10 minutes PRIOR to departure. We have now changed that to 20 minutes. We further state in our writings that we do not hold the trolley for stragglers and there are no refunds for those who arrive late and miss the tour.
These trolleys are required to be at the Breakers Mansion to pick up passengers from the previous tour in a timely manner. Waiting for stragglers at the bus departure platform will force those leaving the Breakers to stand at the curb for an extra 15 minutes and wait for a late trolley to pick them up.

The route covered lots of mansions and he gave a good account of the history of the are. He also added some useful information about the area and the cliff top walks
