Niagara Falls Food and History Walking Tour

Tastes of Niagara Falls

Meet and greet a knowledgeable local foodie/guide near one of the natural wonders of the world, beautiful and majestic Niagara Falls. Admire the rushing water. OK, it’s time to eat.

What better way to get the food tour started than with a slice of delicious gourmet pizza at one of the area’s popular Italian eateries. Learn about the history of Italian food in Niagara Falls while topping a pie with custom favorites like fresh arugula, prosciutto, and buffalo mozzarella, to name a few.

Then, head over to the Skylon Tower via a secret shortcut. Have a camera ready because there’s a stunning photo op at the end of the trail. Learn fun facts about the falls while strolling through Niagara Parks, with a stop at the Oakes Garden Theatre, a centrally located, spectacular garden which serves as the entrance-way to Queen Victoria Park at the foot of Clifton Hill.

That’s right, Clifton Hill, with its bright lights and busyness, serves as the entertainment hub of Niagara Falls, complete with a wide variety of attractions — and food — namely homemade meatballs and pasta to sample. Meet some of the local chefs here and enjoy some finishing gelato, the perfect ending to this walking and food tour.

2 star rating: It was OK, but could have been better September 2015

Gary, our host and guide, was very good and accommodating. He even took us back to our hotel after the walk was over! All that being said it is not a tour we would recommend. Most of what we covered we had seen already and the food stops were not all that exciting except the ice cream stop at the end.
