We spent the most wonderful day with a very congenial group of people. The three wineries we visited each had a large variety of wines to try. Our group leader, Cedric, has worked in the field of oenology in Europe and also in Asia and was extremely pleasant and very knowledgeable about the geography, weather, history and viniculture of each area we visited. Our luncheon was three absolutely fabulous courses of well-prepared and beautifully presented dishes. A wonderful experience!
This was perhaps the best trip of our entire vacation. Our guide was knowledgeable and friendly, he took us to several fantastic wineries, and the lunch at a local seafood restaurant was one my favorite meals of the last several years.
Our wine tour to Provence was AMAZING!! Our tour guide was so knowledge and fun. We traveled to three beautiful wineries and had an awesome long lunch outdoors with PLENTY of delicious wine! Our group bonded from the start and we had the best time together.
Highly recommend this one - well worth the money!
Had a fabulous day with just 7 on the tour. Rod our guide was very informative providing lots of history and information on Nice, and Provence. He shared his excellent knowledge of wine and think we all enjoyed our day. Wineries were amazing and interesting to hear of their history and tour their wine cellars and see how the make the wine, especially how old they were. Lunch was fabulous sitting under the trees enjoying the local wine and food.
Thanks for a wonderful day :
We had a wonderful day exploring the Provence countryside. We learned so much about the Appellations, Provence, the grape varieties, and what goes into growing the grapes and making the wine. We had educational sessions and tastings at three very different wineries, and a lovely, leisurely lunch outdoors at a charming bistro. We looked at growing grapes and learned about pruning and cultivation. Our guide, Frank, is himself a winemaker and clearly had deep knowledge about the industry, as well as a love for wine. He seemed to enjoy sharing it with us. We were picked up in Nice at an easy-to-reach spot and our group included a person who used a wheelchair, which Frank handled well. There was some slow traffic at the start of the trip, because of an accident on the highway, but otherwise it was smooth and entirely enjoyable.
I love wine and know a bit about it so I was concerned this would be a light, surface wine tour. I was immediately put at ease as our master of wine tour guide took six of us to three wonderful vineyards and served up a delicious, authentic ... did I say delicious ... lunch. I think anyone, beginner to advanced wine lover, would enjoy this tour.
Tour was very educational and the wine was great.
There ended up only being 4 of us- we had lots of time at each winery but lunch was a bit long a 2 hours- definitely worth taking the trip!
