This tour was led by a very knowledgeable guide who was happy to let us move at our own pace.
It covered both the Old Town and after a short tram ride the Rally Grounds.
The tour did not include a visit to the documentation center which needed another couple of hours but it gave a good initial insight.
I would recommend this tour
Jason, our tour guide gave us good historical information and also was very good at answering any questions we had. There were options as to choosing whether to wonder around for a while or go visit the castle. The only thing I would have liked is to have the documentation center be included with the tour. Otherwise I do recommend it!
Great walking tour, very informative. It's one thing to see the sights but to understand the history takes it to a different level
Great introduction tour to the city. in this tour you cover a lot of what the city has to offer. A great tour if you are in the city for a day only,
Scott was very eloquent and efficient in expressing his vast knowledge of history and subject matter. Great guide to have on a tour like this. The tour itself was helpful to get oriented in the city, with nice overview of main attractions. It even based longer than advertised, which was good, as it allowed ample time to explore on your own.
Our Australian guide, Scott, was fabulous. Punctual, informative, helpful and friendly. A great walking tour!
A good background of the area and overview of the sights. The tour doesn't take you into the churches or castle which would make it too long, but this was a great starting point for seeing where to go back and spend time. The guide was knowledgeable and fun.

Great tour. We missed the first half of the old town, but can't wait to go back. Easy to work with and great information.
Our guide, Scott was outstanding, very knowledgeable and personal. His insights were very much appreciated. The old town was magnificent.
fantastic , the guide was very knowledgeable - would highly recommend !
It was a really interesting way to see the old town. We saw lots of places that we wanted to visit on the rest of our trip. I highly recommend it for the first day of your trip to get your bearings and learn things you wouldn't walking around on your own. Our guide was very friendly and knowledgeable.
This was a fantastic tour. Our tour guide, Jason, was very informative and passionate about the history of Nuremberg and was willing to answer any questions. I've taken many tours in Europe, and it can be hit or miss if you get a good tour guide or someone just going through the motions, but Jason and the tour ranked right up there with one of the better tours I've been on.
Excellent. Does what is says on the can! Either a very good snapshot when your time is short or a great first stop before branching out on your own. The guide who I cannot remember his name very funny and knowledgeable.
I thought our guide was very knowledgable and he took his time with us answering our questions.
The tour was all we could have hoped for. Very good guide who was clearly well disposed to know all about times around 1st and 2nd World Wars, did his thesis on this at university. Not only that he made the tour very interesting and added humour to keep all interested. Just one word of advice on this tour, it is a long haul, well worth it but wear proper walking shoes/trainers. Very worth going on and thoroughly recommend!
What a wonderful city - and so good to do a walking tour in. Recommended.
We made our own way from Munich to Nuremberg by train which was great. The tour got off to a late start because our tour guides were also coming from Munich and their train was delayed. We only received a 15 minute lunch break to make up for the lost time. Our guide Sabri, spoke calmly and eloquently, to give us a realistic picture of the past in Nuremberg. There is quite a bit of walking involved, make sure you have a good pair of walking shoes.
Jason was a very knowledgeable guide and very friendly. It was a super hot day and he always made sure that we stopped in the shade which was a blessing. He was happy to answer all questions and the day as quite relaxed, I didn't feel like we were rushing around. It was a very interesting and fun tour.
Guide very knowledgeable about everything. Engaged with all participants. Outstanding.
Part of what makes a walking tour great is the personality of the tour guide, and Jason was entertaining, educated, informative, and helpful. I learned so much about Nuremberg -- past empires, dark history, and present-day.
Although it was a rainey day in Nuremburg our walking tour with Jason was fantastic! He was very knowledgeable and engaging. He flexed our tour a bit to include the Nuremburg courtroom / trials location which was an uplanned bonus. Great day!
Jason is an American who lives in Germany. His knowledge of Nuremberg and the Nazi Party rally grounds is exceptional. Anyone going to Nuremberg needs to be on a tour with Jason to gain an appreciation for the town of Nuremberg and what happened at the Nazi Party Rally grounds.
Briiliant - our Guide was great, friendly, very knowledgable, respectful of all members of our party, and always conscious of the need of some members to catch a train.
I asked about the War trial Court rooms, and AFTER the tour ended on his own time he went out of his way to take us to the court rooms.

Our tour guide Achim, was great. Intelligent discussion, especially about the Nazi past. The most difficult part of the tour, was the cold weather. There were not many sheltered places to stop and talk, so most of it was outside. First two hours was old town Nuremberg, and disappointing to my wife was that although we got to see the Durer house, and the imperial castle, it was walking around outside these, and not going in, but for me, this was a great way to get my bearings so we could spend the next day doing these in depth. For example, the Durer house museum took 1-2 hours, itself. Lunch was at the excellent Bratwursthustle, quick and so good we went back again the next day. The sauerkraut was the best we have ever had, and the special Nurnberg brats were outstanding. Quick public bus ride to the Nazi Party Rally Grounds was easy, but by then the temperature dropped even more, and the wind picked up, and the guide suggested it was "too bloody cold" to take the walking tour of the 22 acre site, and not one person protested. Instead, after a quick walking tour of the unfinished Congress hall, we then went to the Documentation Center museum on the grounds. Unlike the boring sounding name, this was one of the best museums we had been in ever, clearly documenting the rise of the Nazi party, and its consequences. The architecture was outstanding and emotional, especially the long dark tunnel/bridge to exit. It really was like coming back from immersion in a different time to present day. Achim provided excellent commentary and some in depth philosophical discussion during quiet times as we rode the tram back to Hauptbanhof (central railroad station).
And his Lebkuchen shop stop near the Albrecht Durer hotel did prove to be a good one. We compared them to others available at the ChristKindlesMarkt, and the bakery fresh ones really were very good.
