Go beyond Waikiki’s beaches and bars on a walking tour of sites related to Queen Lili'uokalani and Princess Ka'iulani, two members of the Hawaiian monarchy, which was overthrown in the late 1800s. A ‘mele’ tour, or singing tour, this experience includes songs composed by the queen that you’ll hear as you follow a guide through former royal sites around Waikiki.

3 star rating: Worth doing June 2016

As there were only two of us on this tour we were looked after very well. Lovely stories of the people the islands and the heritage were portrayed. We learnt how to hula and how to pronounce the Hawaiian language. Songs were sung and the history of the islands was portrayed to us by very proud locals. As this tour has only been going 12 months it is still in the teething stages but will continue to grow if word of mouth extends through these reviews.
