took an early flight from Oahu. came back late. it was a great tour. saw the Air force One in the Airport. that was an extra treat
The island of Hawaii is fascinating. Leroy, our tour guide, provided extensive information on the history, geography and flora and fauna of Hawaii as we drove around. No question went unanswered. The tour includes a black sand beach, Japanese gardens, Rainbow Falls, macadamia farm and orchid nursery before heading up to the Volcano National Park. There are a lot of stops within the park to see steam vents, lava tube and a range of craters before heading to the lookout to watch the glow from the active Kilauea volcano as the sun sets. It's a long tour, but really interesting.
This was a very good trip. Very interesting and long day on the Big Island that was made very enjoyable by our driver Dennis
ok, so.... Volcano National Park was great, the rainforest was neat, the lava tubes were interesting, the macadamia nut plant was ok, and the other tourists on the bus were all very nice. Glad we did this trip and would highly recommend. Warning....its about 18 hours long so go to bed by 7 pm the night before...you'll be up at 3:30am and won't get back to your hotel until 10 pm. The only negative was that for this price they should include the rather mediocre lunch at Volcano House instead of charging 20 a person extra. Thought that was rather cheap...
Although it was a very early start, the tour definitely kept you awake. We hit so many different places and our guide was very informative and fun. I really felt like I had seen a good part of the island before we went home.
This tour was fantastic - Hugh was our tour guide, a local and extremely knowledgeable. We saw many things on this long but absolutely worth it day and saw many incredible and enjoyable places.
Plenty of time spent at the Volcano National Park, which was our main interest, but everything else was worth the visit!
Everything was very well organised and the entire day allowed us to enjoy!
What an amazing day. Our tour guide Jane was wonderful and was very informative and helpful. The day was full on and exceeded all our expectations. The waterfalls and views were breathtaking and we got to see some amazing sites at the volcano. I would defiantely recommend this tour.
Amazing trip ! First class driver and host ' Cousin Lauren' was brilliant , such a knowledgeable man and very helpful .Would recommend this trip .
This Island is so different from O'ahu. Much cooler and it was a bit rainy. Thas why it's greener. The volcanic landscape was amazing. It was woth to get up 4am in the morning.
so fun! we saw lava! great tour to see as much as possible in just the day that we had. great hiking.

Wow! This was a long day! However, it was a good experience. Our guide was VERY knowledgeable and talked and answered questions constantly about little things you wouldn't normally hear. Right from the airport we stopped at a little hole in the wall grocery type place for a breakfast sandwich and/or snacks. That was a nice touch cause everyone was hungry from the early flight from Oahu. It was amazing how many places we actually stopped to see. Lots of trivia info that I found very interesting. All in all, a very good tour and I highly recommend it.
Absolutely fantastic tour. A long day but just amazing. Our tour guide was brilliant.
Absolutely loved this tour. We took our 6yo and 9yo and they lasted the day really well thanks to the excitement and amount of things to see/learn about. Leroy was a brilliant guide - so thorough with his local knowledge. Highly recommend it and a huge thanks to Leroy for wonderful memories!
There was 4 of us. The trip was amazing. The flight back to Oahu was delayed.
John was a great tour guide. The adventure was great and we saw a lot of great things. We kept busy but at a nice pace.

a very complete tour and an exciting of one of the most wonderful sightseen: Volcano activity. We had a great guide
that made a real nice trip!
This tour is an all day tour so be rested and ready. Pack some goodies to snack on as it is a long day but well worth it. I loved seeing the volcanos and the guide was SUPERB!!! What a great tour after I saw How Volcanos are Formed on TV. It's one of those WOW tours.
The tour to Volcanoes National Park is amazing. Before we get to the park, we visited a black sand beach and watched sea turtles, then we visited a Japanese Garden with Hawaii King's status. We had a short stop at a cold spring. We visited a rainbow water fall with a tropical rainforest. The tour guide is very nice and very experienced. On the way to the Volcanoes National Park, she explained many Hawaii and big island specialties. The Volcanoes Park is huge, there are so many amazing sites need to see. The tour guid knows where is the best part to see. Volcanoes National Park is a must to see park in a life time. We saw the endless cold lava, the nature arts of the cold lava, the lava tube, ..., the active volcanoes in the park. We saw the Volcanoes burst from the smoke during the day time and we came back before sunset to see the bigger volcanoes during night time. It was a long day, but tour guide had proper stops for food and drink. Our whole family were very happy.
Excellent trip! Great guide. Perfect way to see all the island highlights.
