Find your way to the bike shop in Waikiki in the morning or afternoon, depending on when you booked your tour.
Meet your friendly guide and get help picking out a helmet and a bike, then get a short introduction and safety briefing before taking off along the Ala Moana Beach Path, a local favorite. A small tour group of ten people or less ensures personalized attention from your guide and the chance to ask any questions you may have.
Head for Point Panic, a surf spot accessible only by bike or on foot that's used mostly by locals. From there, enjoy a different perspective of Waikiki and Diamond Head.
Continue to Kakaako, a neighborhood filled with industrial warehouses that has been reborn as an arts district. As your guide fills you in on cultural and historical facts, pass colorful murals painted by international artists. Cycle on to downtown Honolulu's Hawaiian Capital Historic District, home to important landmarks like the Kawaiahao Church, the Mission Houses, the Iolani Palace, the state capitol building and the King Kamehameha statue.
After passing through Chinatown, head through Thomas Square and past the Honolulu Art Museum. Stop at the Waiola Store for some of the island's best shave ice (own expense). Pedal down a portion of the Ala Wai Canal to view traditional Hawaiian outrigger canoes practicing.
Arrive back at the bike shop fo finish your tour with a better understanding of Honolulu.
