Why Our Insiders Chose This Tour

What You Can Expect

Leeward Coast Dolphin and Snorkel Half-Day Cruise

Dolphin-watching along the Ko Olina Coast

Opt for pickup at your Oahu hotel or find your way to Waianae Harbor to meet your boat.

At the pier, climb aboard your comfortable luxury catamaran and find a comfortable spot to sit and watch the scenery pass by. Enjoy a continental breakfast as you sail in search of spinner dolphins, turtles and humpback whales (November through April). Dolphin sightings are guaranteed December through April; in the rare event you do not encounter dolphins, you'll receive a free snorkeling adventure or sunset cocktail cruise.

The captain will moor the boat at a calm snorkeling spot. Listen to a short lesson on the basics of snorkeling if you need it, then don the provided equipment and dive in. Follow your professional snorkeling guide for 30 to 45 minutes among the coral reefs and colorful schools of tropical fish.

Climb back in to the boat and dig in to a delicious lunch as the catamaran heads back to shore. The buffet lunch includes 2 alcoholic/unlimited non-alcoholic drinks, hot dishes, a gourmet sandwich bar, salads and dessert.

Certified Dolphin Smart Supplier

Viewing wild dolphins in their natural habitat can be a thrilling experience.  However, we can disturb dolphins’ natural behaviors, such as migration, breathing, nursing, breeding, feeding, and sheltering by approaching wild dolphins too closely in vessels; moving vessels too quickly, or making too much noise.  The Dolphin SMART program is a voluntary education program that encourages responsible advertising and viewing of wild dolphins; thereby, minimizing the risk of disrupting their natural behaviors.  You are a steward for wild dolphin conservation by being a Proud Supporter of Dolphin SMART!

This was a fun trip and was aided by dolphins that continued to swim near the boat. The snorkeling was good and crew very accommodating.

Lovely day. Great staff, our bus driver had some time up his sleeve so took us to a local cave that isn't listed in the itinerary. Great drinks, even though the snorkling area was empty of fish, the sail and dolphins were breathaking.

Well organized, friendly crew. About twenty of us on a large catamaran, didnt feel crowded. We saw a couple of turtles, a couple of pods of dolphins and lots of fish. Had a great time, and would definitely go thru Hawaii Nautical again for this or one of their other tours. The ONLY thing that they could have done better but again, we had a great time and this would be if I was really trying to come up with one bit of constructive feedback was remember that for those new to snorkeling, especially with small children, a little more time on the front end explaining putting on the mask or making sure the kids get fitted right would prevent any hold ups when getting folks into the water. Highly recommend!

This is by far one of the greatest experiences of the trip. Aside from the abundant natural beauty, I was so impressed by the attentiveness of the crew. There were staff in the water watching swimmers and I noted as well the deck hands carefully watching the snorkelers. I felt very safe. Oh! Did I mention the crew also helped snorkelers with underwater photography. I would recommend this trip and plan to return when I am back on Oahu.

The Leeward Coast Dolphin and Snorkel Half-Day Cruise was well worth it. The crew was very nice.

We had an opportunity to watch a pod of dolphins sleeping in the bay before the boat headed out for snorkeling. The snorkeling was done in a very clear area where one can see the bottom of the bay and see the fish and turtles. The crew goes in with you and makes sure everyone sticks together. They act as lifeguards while you are in the water.

Being picked up from the hotel and taken to the boat was a huge convenience.
