Set out from Oahu’s scenic North Shore to the depths of the big blue Pacific, where you’ll have the chance to observe wild sharks from inside an underwater shark cage. Thanks to your professional, experienced crew, the Oahu shark dive is completely safe as they know the predators’ behavior, and the underwater cage provides proven safety against all different species of sharks. Whether you’re in the cage with sharks right in front of you or watching from up in the boat, Oahu shark diving is a Hawaii activity you’ll definitely never forget.
  • Dive with sharks on this thrilling cruise from Oahu's North Shore
  • Spot turtles, dolphins and humpback whales on the way to your shark-viewing spot
  • See the ocean's top predators up close from a secure underwater shark cage
  • Common sightings include gray reef sharks, sandbar sharks and hammerhead sharks
  • Expert crew ensures your safety and enjoyment
  • Option to enter the shark cage or view from the boat
Your Oahu shark dive begins at Haleiwa boat harbor on the island’s famous North Shore, where you’ll motor out nearly 3 miles (5km) to the open ocean offshore. While cruising out to the shark diving area, there’s the chance you could see dolphins, sea turtles, surfers or even humpback whales in winter, and the view looking back at Oahu’s shoreline is worth the trip in itself.
Since safety is one of the top priorities for the Oahu shark diving crew, you’ll receive a briefing on safe practices and how to act in the cage. Then, when it’s time to finally go looking for sharks, strap on your masks, step in the cage, and your 20 minute shark watching adventure begins when you’re lowered in the water.
Out here in the open ocean away from the runoff and waves, visibility can often extend to as much as 200 feet (60m). When you first catch sight of a graceful shark swimming slowly but purposefully towards you, there’s a sudden and potent rush of adrenaline you simply can’t contain. Before you can even be scared, however, the sharks have swum to within inches of the cage and are circling in front of your face.
In the waters around Oahu, the most commonly sighted sharks you might find are Galapagos, Hammerhead, and Sandbar sharks, which range from 5-15 feet (1.5-4.5m) dependent upon their age. For travelers wanting to dive as a group, the cage can comfortably hold two adult divers and up to eight at a time — though it depends on current weather conditions and amount of movement in the water.
And, if you simply don’t want to dive in the cage but are hoping to see some sharks, there’s still plenty of thrilling action you can experience while viewing from the deck of the boat.
Money back guarantee you’ll see sharks!

Amazing experience. Got jelly fish stings and the organisers were so concerned and were brilliant. That is service!!

For a city girl and not a water lover, I really felt it was a lifetime experience that I’m glad I did. Paulina and Mike were great and funny guides. We did see sharks!! Definitely worth it!! FYI-Don’t eat before the tour!

Captain and crew very nice and fun. Just as we were getting in the cage, the captain called it off due to very rough water. He was very sorry and we were disappointed but we really appreciated him being very cautious with our lives. We had fun anyway and hope to do the dive next time we go.

Pros: everything directly connected to sharks was well above expectations. Boat ride out and back, instructions, equipment, knowledge of crew, and most of all, being in the water with the sharks. Incredible experience being thatclose to some pretty sizable, beautiful, creatures.Cons: we see the tip jar. Asking directly for tips is beyond classless. Especially given what we paid for the trip. The van we were transported to and from should be retired, and the loud rap/ horrible/ inappropriate music and music playing driver, need to be replaced immediately. Guess what guys? Not everyone in this fading country enjoys garbage “music”. Maybe some enjoyable classic Hawaiian stuff? And the fit the driver threw after finally being asked to turn it off, was ridiculous. Slamming down his music source? Slamming the van door at stops? Really? We payed to be held captive by this guy? Overall, awesome shark experience, but for that price, class it up a little, huh?

This was a once in a life time opportunity and we got to see around 5 galapagos sharks. The only reason for the 4 stars is because a jellyfish got in the cage, and many of us got stung. But honestly this is a must go!

Took my 10 year old nephew and we loved it. 8 go out at one time, but you still have plenty of viewing room.

Absolutely brilliant. Very much outside of my comfort zone but I loved every minute of the dive. Staff were wonderful-always felt like we were in safe hands. I really appreciated the concern from them when I was feeling ill. Lovely experience overall. Highly recommend.

Great experience even if the water was a little choppy. The crew did everything they could to make us feel safe and comfortable.
