What You Can Expect

Open-Door Helicopter Tour over Oahu

Fly over the Oahu without doors!

After pickup at select Waikiki hotels, transfer to the helipad at your prearranged departure time.

Climb aboard a state-of-the-art helicopter that lacks only one thing: doors. This allows you unobstructed views as you tour the island and makes for fantastic photo opportunities. Meet your expert pilot, who will narrate the experience as you fly over Oahu's landmarks. Choose standard open seating or opt for First Class seating for a more intimate experience including you and one other person.

Start by soaring over Honolulu Harbor, the Aloha Tower, Magic Island, Keehi Lagoon and Ala Moana Beach Park. Head out of the highly developed Honolulu area and towards the greener side of Oahu, which includes waterfalls, mountains and verdant valleys.

See the soft white Waimanalo Beach and the coral formations of Kaeohe Bay, striking when viewed from the air. See the Chinaman's Hat before heading to Ka'a'awa Valley, where a dozen major motion pictures have been filmed.

On the east end of the island lies Hanauma Bay, the remnants of a volcano crater that's now a marine sanctuary and popular snorkel location. See the Halona Blowhole, Sandy Beach, Makapuu Point and its lighthouse, followed by Sea Life Park.

The island's central plain is host to the world's largest agricultural maze at the Dole Plantation. View Sacred Falls, a sheer waterfall with a 1,000-foot (300-meter) drop. Finish your 45-minute Oahu helicopter tour with a panoramic view of Pearl Harbor and the USS Arizona Memorial.

After your helicopter lands, transfer back to your Waikiki hotel for drop-off.

Had an awesome time. The pilot did a lot of circular turns and dives. It was great fun. Took a lot of beautiful photos. Will not hesitate to take another doorless helicopter ride again.

This was a once in a lifetime experience for my significant other and me. The pilot Jordan was amazing, very attentive, and made us feel secure the entire trip. Would love to do this again!!

This was the highlight of my two week vacation in Hawaii. Getting to see the island from the air was awesome. Have a great flight good narration of the island was well worth the price.

Just like the opening sequence to Magnum PI, you fly over the island. Incredible views, daring heights. Evan, the pilot, was excellent. I'm profoundly deaf and heard nothing after we took off but I do know the other passengers enjoyed the commentary. Because I was unsure when Evan was going to bank as I couldn't hear him, I was always holding on tight which possibly took away some of my enjoyment level.
I look forward to watching my DVD of the trip and re-living the experience :
Overall, an experience not to be missed.

Truly an amazing experience to see the island on the open-door tour. I'd remember to bring a lanyard for my phone next time, but it was otherwise breathtaking with some of the best views to be had.

I bought this tour for my husband and son to use on our trip to Hawaii. The day before the booked ride the date had to be changed due to maintenance issues. That made minor issues for the other trips we had planned in our week there. However, my son and husband absolutely loved the flight and would recommend it to everyone that visits Ohau. We had been to Pearl Harbor previously but they enjoyed being able to see so much more of that, than you can from the ground. They were impressed with every single part of the flight and very impresssed with their female pilot sorry, can remember her name. We would give this a 100 thumbs up.

I was a little apprehensive about the helicopter ride, but it was a thrill of a lifetime, and I would definitely do it again. The beautiful view from the ride was incredible. A must do for anyone visiting the beautiful island.

This was a highlight of our Hawaiian vacation. There were 4 total people on this tour so my wife and I saw in the front seat with the pilot. I was a little concerned since only a little more than have of my butt was actually in the seat. That just added to the excitement. The pilot was great and explained the whole island to us as we flew over it - yes, you fly around the whole island. I highly recommend this tour to anyone who likes a thrill.
