What To Expect

Climb aboard a state-of-the-art helicopter that lacks only one thing: doors. This allows you unobstructed views as you tour the island and makes for fantastic photo opportunities. Meet your expert pilot, who will narrate the experience as you fly over Oahu's landmarks. Choose standard open seating or opt for First Class seating for a more intimate experience including you and one other person.

Start by soaring over Honolulu Harbor, the Aloha Tower, Magic Island, Keehi Lagoon and Ala Moana Beach Park. Head out of the highly developed Honolulu area and towards the greener side of Oahu, which includes waterfalls, mountains and verdant valleys.

See the soft white Waimanalo Beach and the coral formations of Kaeohe Bay, striking when viewed from the air. See the Chinaman's Hat before heading to Ka'a'awa Valley, where a dozen major motion pictures have been filmed.

On the east end of the island lies Hanauma Bay, the remnants of a volcano crater that's now a marine sanctuary and popular snorkel location. See the Halona Blowhole, Sandy Beach, Makapuu Point and its lighthouse, followed by Sea Life Park.

The island's central plain is host to the world's largest agricultural maze at the Dole Plantation. View Sacred Falls, a sheer waterfall with a 1,000-foot (300-meter) drop. Finish your Oahu helicopter tour with a panoramic view of Pearl Harbor and the USS Arizona Memorial.

Amazing Experience

A truly wonderful experience with Magnum Helicopters. The ground crew made us (me and my two teenage children) feel incredibly welcome and safe (we were first time helicopter flyers) and walked us through everything we needed to know. The pre-flight photos were brilliant The flight itself was amazing, our pilot talked us through all the sights and history of the island, talking us down the coast over Waikiki, Diamond Head, up through Kualoa Valley and over the mountains to see waterfalls and the North Shore. We came back over Pearl Harbour to finish an amazing experience.

Flew (doors off) for nearly an hour around the island and received a tour from the pilot via a radio headset. The pilot knew of the some of the places we had already visited a pointed them out from the air. We felt safe and had received a thorough briefing prior to our flight. Definitely worth the investment!

The whole experience was great from the communication shortly after booking to the arrival greeting and helpfulness of staff to the trip itself. OMG..we had a blast on our Helicopter tour over Oahu..Seeing the island from this vantage point literally makes you gasp..ooohs and ahhhs ..and everything in between..The ride or should I say the fly itself was thrilling beyond measure. Not for the faint of heart, I mean doors off, and you are literally inches from mother nature. It was awesome. The crew at Magnum was great, from beginning to end. Groundcrew took care of all the pre trip duties, from safety to do's and don'ts.. Our pilot Evan was awesome and informative and gave everyone on board a good look at the island and all of its beauty and history. The whole thing was awesome. It really provided a view of the island you can't get any other way. I recommend doing it early in your trip as it may give you ideas on other things to do. Pilot and organization as a whole was very nice and professional.

These people here at Magnum are the funniest, most easy to work with and experienced gang out there! From preloading to actually flying we were laughing, and having the best time of our lives! The views were breath taking, and flying around the mountains was a feeling and a view I will never forget in my life! We had a mix up with our times, which they graciously helped us to make it a good experience for us, and dealt with it in stellar fashion. We feel like we not only had the best ride around Oahu, but we also made new friends.

So worth it! My boyfriend and I are afraid of heights but this was the most memorable from our trip. Our pilot Evan was awesome, even the guy that helped us prepare for our flight. I forgot his name! But he kept us company when the other couple was an hour late from check in. It gets pretty cold so wear a jacket (preferably without a hoodie since mine kept flying everywhere) and clip your bangs because mine was all over the the place. The view of the island was breathtaking. We will definitely book again!
