Upon arrival at iFLY in Orlando, check in and head to the flight deck to watch other guests on their free-fall flights. Then, meet the flight instructor and head to the classroom for a 10-minute training session on the basics of indoor skydiving with up to 12 other guests. Learn what to expect as well as the hand signals that will be used to communicate once inside the flight chamber.
Then it’s time to suit up. iFLY provides all the required skydiving equipment, minus the parachute.
Each guest then takes two 1-minute turns inside the wind tunnel, flying on a wall-to-wall column of air gusting between 130 and 175 miles per hour — one at a time with the instructor’s assistance. Get a close-up view of everyone’s flight just outside the chamber, while learning and honing the necessary flight skills at the same time. The thrill of flying in this high-speed wind tunnel is an unforgettable sensation. At the end of the session, the instructor will put on an aerial performance of various air-assisted twists, turns and flips inside the tunnel.
The entire iFLY first-time flyer experience takes about 75 minutes from start to finish.
Afterward, all flyers receive a signed certificate of achievement commemorating their first flight. iFLY also takes videos and photos of the flight, which will be available for purchase along with shirts and other merchandise.
