Learn a lot about Oslo, the culture and enjoy the food and beer with an charming and enthusiastic guide. Very pleasurable.
So disclaimer - I love food tours in general. But this was an excellent tour. We missed the first stop because we were late getting there from the airport. We called the number viator had as the contact number which was completely wrong sorry to the random stranger that I was frantically explaining our lateness to. I ended up emailing the company and they gave me the correct phone number to call so we could meet up with the group. The tour guide was excellent. She knew so much about the history and the city itself. She showed us all the local hot spots along the way to the food stops.
This was a great tour, our guide was really friendly and helpful. she showed us different parts of the city and gave us some interesting information on history and typical Norwegian cultures. Food tastings were generous, especially the chocolate and lunch stop. Would defiantly recommend.
Well worth the price. Great way to see Oslo and taste local food.
Our guide, Margirita, was excellent. Great English and knowledge of the food scene and the city
A really nice and small tour that takes you throughout the city while trying different kinds of really interesting and delicious food. Our tour guide was excellent!
Not just food but lots of fun. A very enjoyable way to learn about Oslo while you are visiting restaurants and pubs around town. We had a great group to tour with and stayed 1 1/2 hours after the tour visiting with new friends from Liverpool.
Our guide was extremely informative. Despite the fact that only 2 of us showed the weather was bad, she was still eager. She took us to some local places, that we would have never found on our own and we had the opportunity to taste traditional foods from this area. If you are looking for a casual experience paired with local food and beer, I would recommend this.
This was a great experience. Our guide was very knowledgable, and not only gave us an insight to Norwegian food, but other interesting facts about Oslo as we walked between the various food venues.
I really love food walking tours as they give you a perspective not only about the highlights of the city, but also the urban experience of eating as a local. This tour was really good and our tour guide was excellent. We even had a tough situation where the meeting point and time was changed and we had no idea. Yet, the company designated another tour guide just for my husband and me so we would not lose this experience, so not totally recommended the tour, but also the company is very responsible. Totally recommended!!!
Great tour! Our guide, Maria, was fun and friendly. We had a great time with her leading the way. The food and beers we sampled were excellent and the tour took us to places we would not have found on our own. It seemed a little pricey at first, but we quickly realized that Oslo is an expensive city. It is actually very good value for money, and we would highly recommend this tour.
Fun experience. Make sure you are comfortable eating somewhat unusual things, but if you are open to try new food, everything in this tour is delicious!
This was a memorable tour. Our guide Davinia was wonderful. She is obviously passionate about food and was able to answer all our questions and give us good tips for eating out in Oslo. The tour began at a cosy restaurant by the fjord with a large plate of meat fish and salad. Other stops included a chocolate shop; a microbrewery and a food market where we sampled a range of cheese dried meat and more chocolate. The samples are very generous so go hungry!!
You get to taste a wide variety of food, wasn't happy only with the last meal.
Pleasant stroll through interesting Oslo neighborhoods. Experience traditional Norwegian foods and the growing craft food and beer scene.
This was an excellent tour although a little slow paced. Perhaps it was because there were, only two people doing the tour. The guide was interesting and knowledgeable and the food was a great variety of local delicacies, not all of which were to my taste, but certainly worth trying
Enjoyed it - fairly informative. Maybe a little slow-paced as there was only 2 of us in the group this time. Davinia was pleasant and gave us information about Oslo itself as well as some food specialties.
Not much to tell . . . showed up at the designated spot 15 min early, waited 20 minutes . . . no one showed up. This also happened in Brooklyn NYC . . . very frustrating
