The Hop-on Hop-off tour is the best way to see the sites in the city. You get an excellent view from the top of the double decker bus. The tour guides and bus drivers were friendly and helpful. We booked one day but a better value is to buy the 2 day ticket. It's so relaxing to just get off the bus at one of the attractions and just get back on later. You don't have to hassle with traffic. They give you lots of good information.

Terry was great guide, was able to explain history of all the sites. Great way to see all the sites then go back and see the museums of interest. Do not miss National Gallery's collection of Group of Seven and the AMAZING huge First Nations Hall at the Museum of History. There are about twenty totem poles and about six native house fronts in this gorgeous space

The bus stops at all the important attractions. Runs long enough daily for a stop or two a day. A 2 or 3 day pass is recommended if you have the time. I would suggest taking the full tour without getting off 90 minutes to get your bearings and listen to the history of city. You can then determine best times and locations to get on the bus to match your preferences. We used Byward Market stop as our main stop. The bus stops in the Glebe on weekends until end of August but Bank St can be accessed from Lansdowne Park stop. A nice area to walk, shop and eat/drink. The Soup Café on bank is very good.
