It was very bumpy but worth it to see the horses. My partner had to ride in the front because there wasn’t enough room in the back for him but he was out of the elements so we didn’t mind too much. I would not have brought younger children but my 10 year olds had fun

We checked in at 2:45. We were told to have a seat by the bathrooms/gate area. We did and sat there until 3:37. I went to see what was going on, I found that the truck was loaded and the tour guide giving his speech. We walked up and asked if this was ours and he said yes, we called out names. I said we’ve been sitting where we were told to sit for almost an hour. In which I received a snarky remark from the tour guide, “well it’s weird everyone else heard it”. Then to be asked if someone would volunteer to sit in the truck. Meaning to me, it was overbooked. Weather conditions were miserable, driving in the back of a truck. Horses we’re beautiful, but to get to them, it was down right miserable!

The nine mile ride along the Outer Bank seashore on the sandy beach was exhilarating and surprising smooth. The roads through the sand dunes to access the private property where we saw the horses were pretty bumpy. The tour was operated in a safe manner.

Comfortable, relaxing ride with a great guide who provided a lot of interesting information and took us to a variety of locations where we saw 34 or more wild mustangs in their environment even to the extent of them grazing undeterred by the volume of tourists and quite at home among the homes of residents who live there on the Outer Banks. I am certainly glad I took the opportunity to avail myself of this wonderful experience. This has nothing to do with your tours but I wish one could see the pictures of ponies that Ocracoke has up for adoption and we could select the specific one we want to adopt. Thank You for a great day!!

This was a dream come true-seeing the wild horses in the Outer Banks, NC. I had read all the Margaret Henry books about horses when I was in 3rd-5th grades and always wanted to visit the place where the wild horses roam. This trip checked off a dream from my bucket list. With a herd of about 100 horses in Corolla, we saw at least 30 horses on our 2-hour ride. One was a day old foal named Drake.

Guide was very knowledgeable and you can tell he cares for the horses! We had a great time and got to take some incredible photos. Enough people to be worth it but not too crowded (plus enough space to take photos). Easy to register. We feel like the money spent on the experience was not wasted!
