Was very pleased that we booked this tour - it was a nice way to explore the City without getting lost! Stops at all of the major tourist attractions around the City. One point to note is that when we were looking to board the bus at the Teatro Politeama it was around the back and would have been hard to spot!
Palermo is a wonderfull city, were you can see the miracle of the mix of cultures, the colorful italian traditions, the great food, and history at most. the HOP on HOP off , is a vey good way to get a sight of all the excellent places Palermo has to show, the Politeama, the Massimo theater, the mercatos, the 4 corners, the sea shore, etc, I recommend it
Excellent tour with working commentary, we took both main route tours and they were both very informative. There was a bus just outside the cruise port which took us to stop 1 of both routes. For a snippet and highlights of Palermo on a limited timescale I would highly recommend this. If and when we return to Palermo I have a clear idea of the places I wish to visit properly.
Sehr schön, hat alles geklappt. Internetbuchung war einfach und wurde problemlos im Bus akzeptiert.
I always like these tours. It helps you decide what you relaly want to spend the time seeing.
Your standard headphones hop on bus, it was an ok tour through the city of Palermo, not a place I would recommend to visit on a Sunday, as the streets were jammed with a flea market. We took the bus loop twice, then got off an had great cannoli before heading back to our cruise ship.
This was a nice way to get around Palermo and changing routes was very easy.
A challenge finding the stops and we were told an attraction was closed when it was open.
This was a good tour. No problems with the buses. Always on time
If we wanted tu change the bus, we had to wate just about 30 minutes. It is too long!
A bit cold at this time of year for an open topped bus but it did cover the sights we wanted to go to see.
Enjoyable. A shame that the tour bus was not stopping at a marked stop outside the Teatro Massimo, which we discovered after nearly an hour of waiting.
I wasted over two hours standing at stops, waiting for the bus. Maybe it's because it was off-season, but I didn't see a big red bus all day. I ended up walking to the sites I wanted to see. Meanwhile, a competing tour company stopped a few times to ask if I wanted to use their services. I declined, because I had already paid for this tour. In the end, i discovered that Palermo is quite walkable. But I was annoyed to have wasted time and money for something that I couldn't use.
I wouldn't consider Palermo as a touristic destination. It's not even well prepared for tourism. Most of the sights are neglected and all major attractions in Etna and Catania are not accessible from Palermo. Food was OK. We wouldn't go again there!
The worst hop-on hop-off experience - avoid. There are other tours for half the price there. Over-complicated routes too many short routes, not clear which routes you are allowed to use on which ticket and which day, infrequent departures, bus did not even follow the route anyway so we couldn't get off where we planned, poor quality headphone connections made sound terrible.
There were street vendors selling discounted tickets which made a line of hundreds just to get on the bus. We waited for hours!
