Visit the fascinating archaeological site at Segesta
Tour the picturesque Medieval hilltop village of Erice
See the Salt Pans of Trapani where sea salt is harvested
An excellent excursion with a great guide. It could not be better. Our guide Michael was very friendly, knowledgeable and personable and took us to each of the sites. Again, I was very impressed and would do it again without a second thought.
The driver was efficient and timely.
This is essentially a self-guided tour. You are provided with transportation and a brief explanation of what you should do and see. The driver was excellent - very courteous, knowledgeable, and professional. If you have already been to Agrigento, you really don't need to see Segesta, unless you are an avid follower of Greek ruins. The salt plans of Trapani are absolutely amazing. I have never seen anything like it before - looks like snow. Erice is a quaint, amazing little town. The views mountains and the sea are stunning - some of the best vistas I have ever viewed. Overall, it was a very enjoyable day.
When we arrived at Segesta after a two hour ride, our guide never showed up. We did the tour on our own as a group, it would have been much better with a guide. Most of us eased dropped on other groups which had a guide. also pick up was some what disorganized. The trip to Erice was better. A lovely medival town and our guide was very good in details. We never got to the Salt Pans.
This tour is transport only to various sites with a small group. There is no guided tour so expect to be left at each site, paying your way and sightsee as you wish.
For us the value wasn and #39;t there for the price paid.
Note that the driver was very friendly and recommended good food options in Erice.
