Set your alarm for early morning pickup in downtown Boquete at 4am, either at your hotel or a central meeting place.
Climb into a specially modified 4x4 vehicle for the 2-hour trip to the summit of the Baru Volcano. On the way, you'll sip organically grown coffee, hot chocolate and bottled water. Munch on a provided snack and enjoy the predawn ride in the quiet dark. Keep your camera at the ready; there's a chance that a native black panther could cross the trail right in front of the jeep.
Upon reaching the summit, take the opportunity for some stargazing, accompanied by beverages and snacks. If you'd like to stretch your legs, you can take a short hike up to the nearby cross, which offers panoramic views over Panama, including both the Caribbean Sea and the Pacific Ocean. You'll spend approximately 2 hours relaxing on the summit, soaking up the scenery and watching the colorful sunrise.
During the 2-hour journey back to Boquete during daylight, you'll have the opportunity to view and photograph the jagged rocks of the volcanic landscape. Keep an eye out for the Quetzal, the brightly colored bird native to the area.
End your 6-hour tour with drop-off back in Boquete.
