Vassos was fun!
Siobhan_M, Oct 2021
Vassos made an effort to be funny and friendly. Really liked the off road section. Could be improved by making it a bit shorter and having more time in the village.
Nice tour but not enough information and guide touring
Sara_B, Jul 2021
The monastery was very beautiful. I thought we would have a walk or a mini hike in the Troodos mountain but all we did was drive… it was a little bit disappointing. For the whole tour I would’ve loved that the guide (Eliyas) had given us more info.
Lovely, lovely day!

Fantastic experience with a fantastic guide! Rolling mountains, refreshing waterfalls, impressive monasteries, picturesque bridges, exciting off-roading, charming towns, divine wine, and natural beauty for days. What's not to love?? Nick went above and beyond to make this day trip special and memorable. I'm already ready for round two!

Troodos all in one tour

The tour itself is amazing and our driver was lovely! Just two points could be improved: 1) Provide a Jeep with AC!! We had to keep the windows down all the time and especially going down the highway the draft in the car was way too much. 2) Calculate a little more time for the separate destinations. Especially in Omodos you need more time to explore. Otherwise, I can highly recommend this tour!

How much you enjoy this trip is very dependent on which jeep and driver you get. On the day we went, our party of English tourists had a very old vehicle which made for a very rough ride, with inadequate safety belts for the 2 women in the back, and when a storm broke, it leaked quite seriously. The driver could speak English but did not have enough grasp of the language to tell us about the flora, fauna or geology of the region. His 'boss' was driving the other, newer, jeep with a party of French people and I did get the chance over lunch to find out some information I was seeking about the rock formation. The lunch food was good but don't expect to be eating at a quiet village eatery. Although you pay for trips like this to avoid the crowds that you get surrounded by on coach tours, a dozed jeeps arriving for lunch at the same time can produce the same effect as a trip bus! In addition, my original booking was for a Wednesday, but I wasn't informed until 5pm the day before that the trip would not run because there were not enough bookings - which was a bit late to arrange an alternative activity for the next day - so we had to take the trip on the following Saturday.

Full day out with our friendly driver Louis was very enjoyable. Off roading , visits to interesting locations including the amazing Kkyko Monastery and a lovely lunch. Make sure you take an extra layer for the higher altitude and perhaps not a trip to be recommended if you suffer motion sickness.

Great fun! The jeep is so much better than a coach - and allows some 'track' driving rather than main roads. Stops are of appropriate length - plenty to see and enjoy. Meze is not the best - if you are used to Cypriot food it is disappointing, but, if you have never had one - then it is fine as a first experience!! Our driver, Yannis, was fantastic! Yes, it is a French based company - but, languages depend on passengers. On the day we went, we were 6 English speakers and the whole trip was in English only - there was a second jeep with French Speakers only. On another tour, with a different company, it was bilingual in English and Russian - so it really does depend on the passenger mix. Please do not be put off by other comments below! Trevor

We found this tour after other safari's were not run on the days we were hoping for. The tour was really good and the locations were amazing. The driver was helpful in explaining everything, but as per another review this tour's predominant language wasn't English and in this case French the other people all seemed to be from the same hotel and at one point when talking to a couple at lunch did say 'what made you decide to come on a French tour?', which did mean we had to wait for anything to be explained to the other people first before being told in English, which to the drivers credit he would always take the time to spend going through with us. Maybe include some information to say that the main language spoken on the tour may not be in English.

A lovely day. Great scenery and my English speaking jeep driver was very informative. Only disadvantage was, other than my driver, I was the only English speaker on the tour so felt a little isolated.
