In the morning, board your air-conditioned coach at a central location in Paris, and wind through some of the oldest sections of the French capital. With the provided headset, hear your guide clearly as they share the history behind the sights, including the Latin Quarter, La Bastille, Le Jardin du Luxembourg, St Germain-des-Prés, Place Vendôme, and the Opera Garnier.
Continue to the Ile de la Cite, and enjoy a guided tour of the Notre Dame Cathedral, a Gothic architectural masterpiece. Then, board a water shuttle along the Seine River, and relax for lunch (own expense) in the Louvre area.
Regroup with your guide, and head to the village of Montmartre. Hear all about the famous painters, such as Van Gogh and Renoir, who once called this hilly district home, and then wander about on your own to explore the narrow cobblestone streets. Check out Place Tertre, bustling with portrait artists and buskers. At the Sacré-Coeur Basilica, learn about what gives the monument its chalky-white color.
Wrap up your journey of Paris with a visit to the Louvre Museum, once the residence for the French monarchy. See three of the most famous artworks in the museum: The Venus of Milo: Aphrodite Goddess, The Winged Victory of Samothrace, and the Mona Lisa by da Vinci. Your tour ends here in the early evening.
Please note: On Mondays, the second half of your tour starts at the Louvre and concludes in Montmartre.
