It's a great way to see the tower and not wait on long lines or be overrun with too many people. The tour, however, does not go inside the cathedral.
I highly recommend this tour. You get to go inside the tower and see the bells. This does not occur on the regular day tours. Be ready to walk up 350 spiral steps to get there though.
Great tour with a fantastic guide. Highly recommend this tour! One suggestion is to bring a bottle of water. Its a longer climb than I realized. A
Awesome tour! The guide knew his history. However, I will warn you, the climb is 420 spiral steps. We went in mid-August, so the temps were around 85 degrees with no air circulation. Make sure you have plenty of water with you. There were some people who couldn't complete the climb and some who immediately had to leave. The views from the top are breathtaking!
The guide was wonderful and knew his history. This tour was very enjoyable and much preferred by my preteen to waiting in long lines during the day in the hot sun.
This was a don't miss experience. If I had a friend who was looking to splurge on one tour, this is it. Yes, there are over 400 steps but it was worth every one of them. Being up there without crowds and with a great guide was an experience I'll never forget.
This tour was one of the things we will never forget. If you are going on a tour of anything while in Paris...Do this Tour.
Loved this after hours tour! Not only was it less crowded than the day tour but we could spend as much time as we wanted on top and in the bell tower. Awesome tour and highly recommended.
I am not sure if you are allowed to climb up to the top without a tour guide. Because this tour was after-hours, it was delightful to see this magnificent monument without the crowed. I was able to take ton of great pictures from the top of the tower. Highly recommended
Well worth not waiting to climb the steps and the small group and history tour of Paris and the facade of the cathedral made it all more interesting. A
A cool way to get to a difficult to access place. Couldn't really hear the guide very well, but that wasn't very important to me. Otherwise excellent.
Don't waste your time standing in line, book this instead. Not only do you not have to wait in line, not only do you not have to elbow yourself some room in the crowds, but you get a great background on the Cathedral. Well worth it.
Very very well worthwhile! We really enjoyed it - although we did feel the burn in our legs after it but the amazing views from the top and the different vistas and what felt like secret parts of the cathedral made it all worth while.
I would recommend it 100% ,just make sure you're wearing sensible shoes! There are 380 steps down!
We got stuck in the Mannheim Germany train station due to a broken down train for 5 hours on the day of our tour and as a result we were an hour late getting to Notre Dame. We never expected that they would still let us climb the tower, but they did!!! We missed the history that the tour guide gave the rest of the group and we didn't get quite to the top, but we did get to the gargoyle level and saw the bells!! Great experience despite what we missed!
Trip was wonderful, but the guide was boring. His talk gave us very interesting info, but was delivered in a monotone that almost made us fall asleep. Also, he waited far too long for a couple of stragglers over 30 minutes that never did show up for the tour. We were told to show up for the 7:00PM tour at 6:50PM. We didn't actually start our climb up the tower until after 7:30PM.
This is a great tour you will climb to the top of the towers and the view at night is fantastic.
We thoroughly enjoyed our tour of Note-Dame, Once we finished walking up the 499 steps and finally got to the top of the bell tower it was worth every step. The view from there was fantastic Our tour guide was excellent, Very knowledgeable in the History of Notre-Dame and Paris itself, A tour not to miss.
Outstanding. The Notre-Dame towers is something everyone should do anyway, but to get a chance to do it after hours, away from the crowds, and while skipping the line? Absolutely.
Beautiful tour of Notre Dame, especially after hours without the hectic lines and crowds of the days. Very much enjoyed!
This was the highlight of my Paris trip. When will you ever get to climb up 400 steps, after hours at Notre Dame, climb into the bell tower and then all the way to the top? Our guide was knowledgable and genuinely interested in giving us as much information as possible. I will never forget this experience.
Note: be prepared to climb up and them down these steps, a narrow circular staircase with no resting points. If you think you can do it but tire easily, stay at the back of the line. If you can do this tour, you will not regret it. Also, this tour does not go inside the Cathedral itself, so be sure to go in before your tour starts.
Our tour guide was extremely knowledgeable and answered questions without hesitation. Climbing the tower was a challenge but the view was well worth the effort. I loved seeing the gargoyles up close!
This was brilliant, but be aware that the stairs get quite narrow towards the top and it's a bit of a climb but the views are wonderful, even on a cloudy day. This doesn't include access to the actual catheters but we just popped in there afterwards, we thought it would be closed but it wasn't and there was no colossal queue like there is in the day time, we just walked right in. But the towers are deff worth a look, highly recommended
