The day began with us making our way to Giverny to visit the home and gardens of Monet. From there it was on to Fourges where we enjoyed a delicious lunch at Moulin de Fourges. After lunch we continued on to Auvers-sur- Oise. In Auvers we visited Auberge Ravoux, the inn where Van Gogh died. We walked the footsteps Van Gogh walked, visiting the sites of some of his works. We saw the gravesite that is his final resting place, next to his brother. Our day ended with our guide, Abib driving us back to Paris. Abib was courteous and friendly. He was able to provide excellent commentary to help us make the most of our trip. Definitely a highlight of our visit!
Gregory was an excellent driver of our tour van and knowledgeable tour guide! He was Lots of fun and gave us all the information and history of Claude Monet's family and life and his home in Giverny and the Japanese gardens. He didn't rush us through -he let us take our time and enjoy the gardens. We had a delicious lunch at Moulins de Fourges -nestled beside the stream and beautiful flower gardens. Then we drove to Auvers-sur-Oise to see where Vincent Van Gogh spent the last few months of his life and the cemetary where he and his brother Theo are buried together. It was an amazing tour- and very well done! So thrilled that we were a part of this tour. It was a dream come true. Thank you Gregory! Pick up and drop off at the apartment we stayed at was easy and much appreciated! What a wonderful day! I would recommend this tour to everyone
One of our favourite days in Paris. If you love Monet and Van Gogh's art, then this is a must.

We really enjoyed our small group tour. Our group was only the 4 of us so we had our own private guide who was excellent. The pace of the trip was good, the instruction from our guide was interesting and easy to understand, the food was good, and the overall experience of our day was excellent.
As the mom in our family, it and #39;s not often that I have the luxury of leaving trip details to someone else! We were picked up by our courteous driver who relayed important information about our destination in perfect English and delivered us safely to our doorstep at the end of our tour A real treat!
Awesome tour and our guide was pleasant and knowledgeable. We would recommend thus tour to anyone
Our tour guide, Jean, did an outstanding job of pointing out important sights and not being as verbose as most tour guides can be. Nice man with years of experience. Highly recommend.
Our guide -- Fred --- was great. This tour would be good with anyone but he made it great. Recommended.
We have visited Paris previously, but this time travelling with our granddaughter a keen art enthusiast so this day trip was perfect! Very well organised day, excellent guide, lovely lunch.
Totally relaxing and wonderful way to spend a day. Timing was great, the guide was fantastic, and the nature was wonderful after three weeks in NYC and Paris. So nice to relax and not have to make any decisions!
We had a wonderful trip to Giverny with our guide Fred on Saturday, September 26- he was personable, funny and very knowledgeable - their were eight of us on the trip and it was a very congenial group - Fortunately it was a day of beautiful weather - but the gardens would be beautiful at any time - I was traveling with a friend who spoke french and she enjoyed talking with our guide Fred - it really was a great day and I would highly recommend as a day trip from Paris!!!
Monet's garden was absolutely beautiful, a riot of colour with masses of flowers and greenery! We had a great day with Ricardo entertaining us along the way. The lunch at the mill was very high quality and very pleasant company. Lastly, we had a sunny afternoon in Auvers Sur Oise where we felt immersed in the world of Vincent Van Gogh. My favourite day of my whole holiday!
Our trip was perfect. Fred was a wonderful tour guide. Thank you Fred! We would do it again in a New York minute.
An amazing experience even on a rainy day. Our guide, David, was informative and a joy to be with. I highly recommend this tour.
Outstanding! Herbert , our driver/guide was fantastic. The lunch out in the garden at the Moulin was so special.
Many thanks. SO very glad I booked this trip! 5 star
Wonderful tour to Giverny. I have wanted to see the water lilies for a very long time, and, despite the rain, was not disappointed. I walked along the path, absolutely enthralled, and did not want to leave. Monet's house was also amazing. We had lunch at a lovely inn and then drove to Auvers sur Oise to learn about the last days of Vincent Van Gogh. Our guide was excellent and made both of these places come alive. What a wonderful day!
Fred was a fun driver/guide and we enjoyed our visit to Monet's garden, though it was very crowded in the height of summer. We also were surprised to visit van Gogh's rooms, where he died, on the 125th anniversary of his death. Fred took us to visit his grave as well. Lunch was very nice, though a bit slow to be served, but Fred didn't rush us. We had a great day.
The tour was beyond expectations. Paul, our drive and guide, was outstanding, friendly, courteous and his knowledge of Monet and Van Gogh and the history of Giverny and Auvers sur Oise were so in-depth. I learned more than I could have expected from him. And the lunch was wonderful. Charming restaurant and excellent food. The tour could not have been better . . . the weather even cooperated!
THE BEST!!!! Loved this excursion. Started off with th most delightful and informative guide Louis. Very knowledgeable. Small van with 8 people total. Walked through the very long line at Giverny and had a wonderful time. The house and his life are as exquisite as the garden take the time to wait. Then drove to a lovely mill were the most charming three course lunch was laid out with wine. Headed off to Auvers sur Oise after wards to a most tragic part but still beautiful. TO hear about the short tortured life of Van Gogh. Traveled to his gravesite and heard about his last days. Tour of the Inn is also lovely where he stayed and the movie was very informative. Thank you Definatley one of my faves during our trip.
This was a wonderful trip. It was a great way to get out of the city for the day into the very lovely Normandy countryside. Our guide, Manuel, was awesome. He was a great driver through the crazy Parisian traffic and was even able to book a late-day appointment with a dentist back in Paris for one of the tour members who broke a tooth during the trip. During our ride to Giverny, he gave our group of 7 a non-stop commentary in both English and Portugues about Monet, Paris of the 1800s and today and the French countryside. He even through in a few 'extras' for us--I won't spoil it unless you are lucky enough to get him as your guide. This guy has to be the hardest working tour guide in Paris!
The Monet gardens were wonderful, made even better by getting there early with our small group. Since we beat the big busses, we had a much quieter moment to tour for the first half hour or so.
The lunch at the Moulin de Fourges was wonderful. The setting was truly idyllic.
Auvers-sur-Oise is moderately interesting, but our guide set our expectations appropriately. It certainly would not be worth a trip on its own, but coupled with Giverny was worth seeing.
All in all, it was a great day and this was definitely the way to do it.
