The tour was amazing and Versailles was beautiful, the gardens were snow covered so you couldn't see most of it but it was still really pretty to see with all the snow. Unfortunately though, because of the snow I had to switch to the half day tour, but Olivier my tour guide made sure I still got to see all of the palace and he told an amazing story of the palace and the people who lived there, it was very clear that he knew all there was to know about Versailles. He also dropped me off at my hotel at the end of the tour, which was very nice and not part of the tour, so I really appreciated it! I would definitely recommend this tour.

The Versailles tour was a delight from beginning to end. Our driver/guide provided running commentary during the ride to Versailles, helping to set the context by sharing the place of the palace in history. Once we arrived, we were able to by-pass the line and begin our guided tour of the palace. Ample time was provided to tour the gardens, visit favorite sites in the palace and meet the group for lunch. Following the meal, we had significant time to explore the village on the palace grounds, which was a charming and rustic antidote to the glitz of Versailles. The small group size -- seven adults -- gave us time to enjoy each other as well as the sighs! This tour was well worth the time and money.

The tour guide was very knowledgeable and we enjoyed the tour very much. Unfortunately the weather was not in our favor and we weren’t able to visit the gardens. The tour company upon our return promised a refund.

My family of 5 including 3 sons-18, 19, and 19 yrs of age went on this tour and highly recommend it. Having done Versailles without a guide the first time 25 years ago, I now appreciate the value of a private guide. We got so much more out of the visit and this time we visited Trianon--a very important part of Versailles' story I hadn't visited before. Our guide, Nikola, definitely knew her history--far more than the surface story--which allowed her to answer our questions in a deep, meaningful way it gave us much more perspective. I felt like we really learned about the French Revolution by experiencing the opulence and oblivion, yet understanding the human side of the monarchy.

Our group consisted of 8 people and we were transported in a roomy, comfortable van. We visited Jan 3, so it was cold and rainy--but we enjoyed the grounds nonetheless. Nikola split the tour into 4 parts:
1. We toured the main rooms that are currently open of the main palace,
2. then we had just over an hour to explore the gardens on our own
3. our group ate a 3-course lunch served at a restaurant on the grounds. The first 2 courses were good, no one really liked the dessert. Of course, we'd all sampled the beautiful macarons near the gift store which were a delicious but may have spoiled our dessert appetite.
4. Our guide picked us up and drove us to the Trianon to tour and explore before we headed back to Paris.

Again, it may seem expensive, but having done it without a guide before, I'd highly recommend doing the small guided tour. It's a good value.

This was wonderful, the guide was very knowledgeable, provided great information, the lunch was great, good food, good wine, and the restaurant was elegant and charming. I think the pace was spot on, it allowed for enough time to observe and admire the beautiful rooms in the Palace and the gorgeous gardens. We got lucky as the weather was absolutely gorgeous, so the gardens were a photographers dreamland. Absolutely recommend to take this one if you are ever in Paris!

Loved our guide, Michelle. She was very informative, detailed orientated, gave us ample opportunity to explore. Unfortunately, it was raining and cold that day so we didnt get to enjoy the gardens as much. Lunch was a very well rounded meal with wine, and 2 options for the entree. Small group tour which allowed us to stay close and get familiar with the exhibit. Would highly recommend
