I absolutely loved this class - it was the highlight of my trip. Jason, the tour manager, and Didier, the baker, are a great and fun team who explained everything well. We sampled absolutely spectacular bread and pastry, taking a baguette home that was eaten promptly and I've thought about it since. Recipes sent by email later.
It was a really unique experience and I can't recommend it enough!
We loved this experience! The baker was absolutely fabulous - so personable and fun and had us all laughing! We learned to make so many things and got to sample everything. It was one of our Paris highlights!
This was a fantastic tour! we booked last minute booking and we were so glad to have done it. The tour guide Jason was awesome and the owner and artisan baker Didier was really passionate about his work that he made the entire experience so wonderful. This was a definite highlight of our time in Paris! Even my French partner learned a lot. And if you are looking for non-commercially baked bread and pastires, this is the place to go!
I arrived to take this class and wasn't sure where the class would be since the bakery was so small, but was pleasantly surprised when we were brought in to the back working area of the bakery. It was a fascinating class and Sara, the translator was excellent. Didier, the baker, explained all the processes needed to make bread, croissants and puff pastry and gladly answered any questions that came up. He allowed us to have as much hands on experience as possible and I learned so much about baking the French way! I can't wait to use my new tips and tricks!
Excellent! A highlight of our trip to Paris. My 9 and 10 year old daughters both loved it, and Didier organised it so that the 3 kids on the course did something that was more specific to them for part of the time.
This was a visit to a real working bakery in Paris, run by Didier Lavy, who was very charming and funny. He is also the second place winner of the best crossaint in Paris, out of 200 bakers. While it wasn't as hands on as I had hoped, we did learn a lot and were able to ask questions. We did get a baguette and crossaint to take home, along with the recipes. It seems that some of the particular ingredients may not be available in the U.S., but the baker did offer some alternatives. So, I'll give it a try as soon as I can. An overall good experience.
Too much fun . . . even with an interpreter the experience was priceless and a must do when in Paris!
Such a fun and learning experience! Chef Didier Lavry of Le Petit Mitron gave us so much of his time and shared his passion for this profession. We were all inspired to go home and get elbow deep in flour! Such a great experience I will never forget!
This was a highlight of our Paris trip. Baker Didier is full of personality and charm and our translator was great. Didn't receive the recipes as promised, however.
Very good day - Didier the Baker was great and so was the translator. I will now be looking for some more European food tours. We learnt a huge amount about baking. On a separate issue can you give me some idea as to when I will receive the recipes for the Baguettes/Croissants.

This was an excellent experience! The chef was incredibly personable and the translator was fantastic. We felt we really learned the traditional methods involved in making croissants and baguettes. It was very hands on and we had a great time! I highly recommend!!!
My husband and I loved being in the heart of a working bakery. Not just any bakery but one making bread and croissants at the highest level. The Baker was very welcoming and gave us great information about the process, French baking, and many tips to help us recreate baked breads at home. The Intrepeter was delightful as well. We enjoyed our small group and will be using the information and experience gained for our family and friends' benefit.
We loved eating our own products and several other delights we purchased.
This is the real deal and for me a dream come true!

This was great. The baker was helpful, cheerful and made for a very pleasant experience, not only for me but also for my 2 children. It was a nice to see someone who thoroughly enjoyed his craft and wanted to share his knowledge with others. If you are interested in baking, this is a must do. I would very much recommend.
Loved this! Arrive at the bakery and not only was the baker extremely nice, so was the translated. Learning to make baguette and croissants in Paris! Downstairs by the oven is warm obviously, but so worth it. Don't wear uncomfortable shoes, standing the entire time.
Great to be able to do both baguettes and croissants in the same class. Charming baker with cute smile and lots of tips for trying it on your own. French to English interpeter was a wonderful woman.
We loved this workshop.It was definitely one of the highlights of our Paris trip. we learned lots about bread making and pastry making and look forward to trying out the recipes at home- we are still waiting for them to be sent. Martin was lovely and the interpreter was good too. The class was less hands on than we expected but still worthwhile.
My friend and I ended up having a private workshop as no one else signed up that day. The baker was so nice and welcoming, and our translator was very good as well. Great class and so much fun!
This class was fantastic and was a lot of fun. We learned how to make several different breads and pastries and had a lot of fun doing it. The recipes were sent out promptly as we'll.
What a great experience! So much more goes into making baguettes and croissants than I would have guessed.
Of all our tour experiences, this one was "the best" so educational and with a lot of interaction. Class size is small which is perfect. The baker is wonderful. He is so knowledgeable and passionate about his profession, enabling him to pass on many of his "tips for success" when baking at home. Even President Obama's head chef attended one of his classes because he is so remarkable.
My family and I had a great time with the cooking workshop. The master baker was excellent. We would recommend this to anyone.
