French Wine and Champagne Tasting in Paris

French Wine and Champagne Tasting in Paris

Spend an evening sampling the best of what France's wine industry has to offer during a French wine and Champagne tasting in Paris. Make your way to a beautifully renovated wine cellar in Paris' city center, not far from the Louvre Museum, and settle in for a French wine master class.

With guidance from a sommelier, you'll taste six different French wines from all over the country, including Bordeaux, Sancerre, Rhone and Champagne. Learn what makes French wines so beloved. Hear about how Champagne is made, and why it's long been considered the best bubbly. Find out how to taste wine correctly, what words like 'appellation' and 'terroir' mean and how to read a French wine label.

This 2-hour wine tasting is designed to give you a deeper understanding of French wines in a relaxed setting where you can actually enjoy what you're learning. Sip wine from delicate Riedel glasses and nibble fresh bread – or upgrade to add a plate of cheese and charcuterie for a more substantial snack.

At the conclusion of the tasting, you'll receive a list of all the wines you sampled, and you'll leave with greater confidence for the next time you're handed a wine list in a restaurant.

The place, the wines, the people were wonderful. Had an amazing time and loved the experience. If you've had a tough day sightseeing and want something a little different I would highly recommend this. Wine Novices were welcome and it was well led so there was no question deemed to silly to ask.

Wonderful and very knowledgable sommelier..beautiful wines. My Mum and I ordered a cheese and charcuterie board on arrival for 15 euro and it was the perfect accompaniment. Lovely experience.

We absolutely loved our wine tasting! Alan was so lovely and had great information to share but did so in such a way that was enjoyable. He made everyone feel at home. It was like drinking wine with friends. Merci!

My husband and I booked this tasting at the last minute and actually ended up in the off the beaten path tasting. We tasted some delicious wines in a beautiful wine room with a very knowledgable sommelier.

Enjoyable tasting! Sommelier knowledgable and very eager to share info, answer questions and share French wine info. Class more directed for those with limited to average wine knowledge, but still recommend for a nice evening of wine tasting for all types of wine connoisseur.

Fabulous class! Meg is very knowledgeable but not at all intimidating. I left the class excited to visit a cheese shop while in France and much more confident about selecting a wine from a restaurant menu. I highly recommend this class.

This was an amazing experience! The owner of this wine bar, Olivier, was so much fun! He is incredibly knowledgeable and taught our group the inner workings of the many wine regions of France. We tasted several types of wine from various regions. Delicious bread is provided but you can also purchase a cheese, meat or combo platter for 15 Euro that easily feeds 2-3 people. We booked this wine tasting for the day we arrived in Paris since it started at 5pm. It was perfect timing for the dreaded 1st day in Europe where your body hasn't yet adjusted to the new time zone.
