This is a must - out of the hustle and bustle of Paris - Monet's gardens were brilliant
France is beautiful and it's wonderful riding bikes through this! Definitely an easy ride. A couple small hills but very doable. My mom is very out of shape and had a hard time with the hills so she walked the bike a little. Our guide also gave us some art history during the drive there and picnic, which I love.
Kit was an amazing tour guide! Very knowledgeable! The bike tour was beautiful and offered a different perspective to the typical Parisian experience. This tour is highly recommended!
unique experience. hope to have more time but a day only have that many hours :
My kids and I loved this tour! Our artist guide was interesting and informative. We enjoyed shopping in the market in Vernon and biking down the beautiful path to Monet's garden.
The gardens were incredibly beautiful. Our group entry tickets meant we didn't have to wait in any lines.
I highly recommend this tour!
Great combination of bus and bicycle and seeing Monet's garden was superb.
Loved it! Kit was great. The gardens and house wonderful and Giverny exquisite. Had a great time.
A rewarding day and well worth our participation! Our guide Kit shared a wealth of information about art history, with a particular focus on Monet and the Impessionists. After an hour's comfortable motor coach journey, we arrived in Vernon. We loved to opportunity to visit a market, use our very limited French and purchase our picnic lunch. After lunch by the Seine, we cycled along a scenic country lane to Giverny, where we visited the iconic Monet's garden. Then another cycle back to our bus meeting point for our transfer back to Paris. A wonderful day and we enjoyed every minute! The cycling is very manageable by anyone in good health with a moderate level of fitness. About 10 km all up and mostly flat.
A great day out first getting your market supplies for a pleasant lunch on the river bank, the bike tour is the way to go and very easy and enjoyable, I felt Monets garden took second place to the rest of the day, great guides, recommend for all ages.
Very little riding on roads thankfully as I am not the most competent cyclist. A lot of the cycling was along a lovely path through the countryside and village. Very enjoyable as was the stop for lunch and short visit to the lovely little town of Vernon. Monet's garden and house were so beautiful. I will go on this tour again next year. Loved every minute of it.
Outstanding tour. Very relaxed biking to a picnic by the Seine, and then on to Giverny. Loved shopping at the market for lunch. Our guide, Jake from Australia, was great.
This as a beautiful and excellent tour. Both my son and i signed up for it ut I was unable to finish it. I have had vein treatments in my legs and on that particular day it was very humid and the temp was able 95 degrees. I made it there on the bike but could not make it back due to heat exhaustion. The tour company was excellent and arranged for me to take a bus 10 minutes back to Vernon to meet them where they returned the bikes and we proceeded with the tour. I didn't miss a beat. We took a bus to Vernon and shopped for lunch, ate a picnic lunch by the river, biked to Giverny, toured Monet's house and gardens and then returned. Excellent day and nice to know that if you don't think you can make it they can take care of you.
Three of us took this tour and we all agreed that it was one of the highlights of our entire trip to France. From buying our food for our picnic on the Seine riverbank to the easy bike ride to Giverny, everything was absolutely wonderful in every way. Our guide gave us lots of great information and history about both Monet and Giverny and, of course, Monet's home and gardens were beautiful. If you like Monet or just enjoy looking at gardens, this trip is an absolute must!
Wow!!! Totally met and exceeded our expectations! So many additional touches to the tour that made it special. Kit, our tour guide, was passionate about art and gave us a whole new perspective on art history. We loved the stories and settings where they were told. Picnic, market...wonderful!
This tour was amazing!!! We enjoyed every minute of it and would not change a thing!!
Very good, even if you are a novice bike rider. Great guides. Very conscientious. Picnic spot was lovely. Gardens were very crowded but nice.
The 3 of us thooroughly enjoyed this tour. It was a very warm day, but the bike ride and trip to Monet's garden was even good in the heat.
This was our very favorite thing we did in France, and possibly our entire 25-day European trip. It was so well-organized and laid back. We felt like we got to just float along the whole day. The group size was small enough to hear everything, build a rapport with the guide and other members, yet just large enough that my husband and I could break off to talk easily. The town of Vernon was something I wasn't expecting to enjoy as much as I did, and the picnic and market were just perfect. The village of Giverny was quaint, and my only wish was that we had more time to stroll around there. Granted, my husband and I chose to spend virtually our entire time in the gardens, so we didn't take advantage of the free-time for Giverny. Monet's Gardens were everything you could imagine it was surreal to actually be there after loving his art for so long. Our guide, Valentine, was the absolute best! He knew great details about the area and Monet, as well as his family's life. The biking was enough to get you moving, but not strenuous at all. The energy and scenery of this trip was simply perfect!
This was a bucket list experience for us. Such a fantastic day.
Really informative and interesting guide. Beautiful bike ride. Loved it!
