What You Can Expect

Guided Bruges Day Trip from Paris

Bruges, the Venice of the North

Board an air-conditioned coach in Paris for the scenic drive into Belgium through the northern part of France. Bruges sits in northern Belgium, near the North Sea, in the region known as Flanders.

Despite the history of war in this area, the medieval center of Bruges is amazingly well-preserved—so much so that the historic center is a UNESCO World Heritage Site.

Your visit to Bruges begins with a guided walking tour of the charming Medieval center, including ornately decorated buildings, the Saint-Sang Basilica on Place du Bourg, the Beguine Convent, the Gothic City Hall, and the 12th-century Markt Square with its iconic bell tower.

After the walking tour, take a brief canal cruise (for summer visits from April to October) to see this charming city from the water, followed by free time to explore Bruges on your own. (Visitors during the rest of the year go straight from the walking tour to leisure time in Bruges.) Take advantage of your free time to see Flemish art museums, shops selling handmade lace, or enticing Belgian chocolate shops.

Your tour ends with a ride back to Paris.

The guide was fabulous. She was very informative and thoughtful. The day was very long on the bus, but she kept us informed of what to expect.

Take advantage and travel to another country and back while you're in Paris! We wanted to take full advantage of our time in Europe, and this was the perfect treat! It's been a year since our trip and we still can't stop talking about a day trip to Bruges!

Getting up early was not so great, but this day trip to Bruges was totally worth it! My 19 yr old daughter loved it and my husband enjoyed it too. If you haven't watched the movie, In Bruges, then you must before heading there.

Beautiful city with a lot of charm and friendly people who spoke very good English. Walked around to see the sights, enjoyed traditional beef stew with delicious cherry beer so good we bought some to take back to Paris with us, and sampled multiple chocolate shops. Very nice day tour and the 4 hour bus ride is not bad. The tour guide was for both English and Spanish so she switched back and forth.
