Why Travelers Choose This Tour

It's a hassle-free day trip with hotel pickup, a small group size and a friendly expert guide. The castles are beautiful and the included lunch is superb!
Your Loire Valley day trip starts with hotel pickup in Paris for the drive southwest into ‘château country.’ With your guide, start your castles tour at Château d’Amboise, a preferred royal residence during the Renaissance. King Francis I once welcomed Leonardo da Vinci at this castle, where da Vinci is buried in the Chapel of St Hubert.

Next, enjoy lunch with drinks, and then head to Château de Chenonceau, one of the most-visited Loire Valley castles for its location straddling the River Cher. Finally, visit Château de Chambord, one of the area’s largest and most impressive castles with extensive grounds.

Your day trip then ends with the drive back to Paris for hotel drop-off.

A marvelous selection of chateaux and historic sites as well as nice touches of local culture. Well paced and especially nice because of the small size of our group. Lovely scenery along the way made even the riding enjoyable. Ample amounts of free time to explore as we wished.

This tour is highly recommended. The driver and the guide are both professional. Travelers will surely get an excellent service from the Tour Company.

Awesome experience how often do you get to eat in a castle

Actually the tour is quite rush as we need to see 3 castles within a day. Though it is a 12 hours tour, after deducting the time for breakfast, lunch and travelling including the travelling between the castles, the actual time we spent on visiting the castles is around 4 hours only. But I believe it is really worth to go as the castles are really beautiful. The only thing we feel sorry is we do not have enough time to see more. If you have adequate time, join a 2 days tour.

Loved this tour- John andI picked the Amboise optional- our tour guide was very good- the van is cramped when it is full please consider having two less persons for comfort. It is a full day well worth doing this tour. The lunch was good, we did hotel pick up and drop off which made the tour extra special.

Very much enjoyed.

We felt a bit rushed at times, but we did fit a lot into one day.

Our guide did not speak to us for the long hours out to the first castle nor for the full ride back to Paris. He played his music on the radio and spoke briefly at each property. His driving was reckless - as he sped and cut off other drivers. The castles themselves are great to visit but it could have been much better with someone guiding us that wanted to do a good tour. Our guide was uninterested.

This was our favorite tour - our guide was knowledgeable and it was such a lovely day seeing the beautiful castles.
