Too long

The bus ride too long from Paris. Audio did not work well. Hard to stay with guide due to crowds. The place and views are spectacular

The Mont-Saint-Michel
Raymond_S, Nov 2022
Very educational. Our tour guide for group 1 was so very helpful. She is a welcoming lady and she explained everything about Mont-Saint-Michel very clear and concised.
Beautiful but a little rushed
Raquel_G, Oct 2022
the place is beautiful, no question about it. Worth visiting and it was one of my favorite activities in France. Our guide was very knowledgeable and gave us a lot of historical and architectural information about the place. I took off off one start, because the tour was a little too rushed. I wished we had had some more time to take pictures and appreciate the place. Specially because it is a one way pathway through the castle and you can not go back. There were a lots and lots of stairs to climb up, so again, I wish our tour guide had gone a little slower or taken breaks, specially in respect to the elderly people - it became really challenging 1/2 up. The tour was well organized, the bus left on time, and stopped on the way for bathroom break and snacks (not included). Pricy but reliable. I recommend .

Long full day tour but worth the visit.
Carrie_D, Oct 2022
Great tour. A must see for sure! Comfortable in bus. Unfortunately our tour guide is not feeling well but he did good. Could be better though.
It is worth the trip, be prepared to take too many pics
Thierry_B, Oct 2022
We wanted to visit Mont Saint-Michel but we were hesitating if a day-tour would be enough to explore the site. We had read previously some reviews saying that the bus drive was too long and that the time to explore the site was too short. I am very glad we took the tour. The bus was comfortable and made a stop on the way up and way down. We had enough time to explore the site, we were lucky that October was not as busy as the summer. The Abbey and surroundings are spectacular. We had the time to have lunch and walk around. Be prepared to take a lot of pictures, give yourself the time to explore the restaurants, do not choose the first ones, there are many options. Regarding the tour guide, Fabio, he was very organized and had interesting information. I didn't like his "teacher" attitude, kind of rude with some of the tourists on the group. On another hand, the sound system used was not the best. Inside the abbey the thick walls would block the signal and we could not hear what the guide was saying. In order to hear the info, we were forced to walk side by side with the guide and that was almost impossible.

Definitely give this a go!
Jameson_R, Oct 2022
The architecture and the history is magnificent. The whole place is gorgeous and it was a lot bigger in person than I expected. Well worth the kind of long bus ride from Paris.
Lisa_C, Oct 2022
The trip was well organized. Definitely a must see. Amelia our guide was extremely knowledge about about Normandy, the country side, and history in general - tended to drone on and lost her audience several times. Would have been nice if she lightened it up a bit with a few antidotal fun facts as other guides do. I paid for the guided tour when I arrived I decided to do the Abby’s self guided tour. For 3 euros you are given an an amazing audio tour. This enabled me more flexibility and freedom once at St Michele. The Abby is extremely hilly and has many steps - and understandability needed to go at a slower pace. The place is a feat of nature and is simple amazing - totally worth it.
Almost 1000 steps!
Noemi_T, Oct 2022
It was a lot of traveling for one day. But Mont Saint-Michel did not disappoint. It was obvious that our guide loved what she did and loved the history of the monastery. I would only suggest making this an overnight trip.

Ok experience
dennis_p, Sep 2022
The sign in process was terrible. The meeting place is outside with no signage to help you with the experience. After 15 minutes of back and forth we got it figured out. The bus was nice and the guide was very nice. After sign in things went pretty well. Mont St Michel is a cool place to experience but for $360 and the 15 hours the trip took I’m thinking maybe my money and time would have been spent better elsewhere.
Worthwhile experience
Tiffany_R, Sep 2022
Lovely guide and plenty of time to explore the Abbey and surrounding beach. If the weather is nice I suggest walking back as it is beautiful.
Beautifully charming place to visit
Jimmy_L, Sep 2022
Pretty well planned, beautiful place and stunning location. Choice of rest stop wasn't the best as it was so packed and didnt have enough time to buy food and go toilet. The communication device was faulty and other than replacing the old faulty device, the guides rather the group to stay close and it was difficult as the place was very crowded.

Day Trip
Michael_b, Sep 2022
The trip was nice. I liked the guide, Clare. She had a lot of historic knowledge that she shared, but not too much to be annoying. My only issue was with the shuttle bus, which the tour group had no control over. There was only 3 in rotation that day. It was about a 40 minute wait to get from the parking lot to the Mont. Which meant less time was spent there.
Breathtaking & Mystical
Jeff_R, Sep 2022
I enjoyed learning about the countryside and the political history. Once off the bus we decided to explore on our own, so we missed an in-depth description of the monastery. Still, we thoroughly enjoyed ourselves. The site is breathtaking and mystical.
Good for first timers at the island
Eleanor_P, Sep 2022
Was it worth the $344.42 for 2 people? Not really sure because we only had less than 3 hours in the actual island. We hit a couple of traffic jams on the way there and waiting for the shuttle ate up time as well. But all that seem to melt away once you actually get there because the place is like a scene from a fairy tale. Then as you’re leaving you get this feeling of “Man! I wish I had more time” so let’s ask again: was it worth the money? I say yes IF ITS YOUR FIRST TIME HERE AND YOUR FIRST TIME GOING THERE. My husband said “no, maybe if we had another hour” so leaving early might be a good idea. There were people who took a 1-3 day options, we didn’t know, this. It might be a good option for you folks to look at if you want to take your time. It was also crowded with school kids and couples with strollers

What sticks out is the long drive back and forth to Paris which is longer than the time spent there. However, the bus ride was comfortable and the tour guides we had were wonderful! Overall, it was a day trip worth it for me. Mont St Michel is an amazing place!
Not worth it
Hope_B, Sep 2022
The city of Mont Saint Michel is beautiful and worth the visit, but I wouldn’t recommend this company. The drive there and back was extremely long and the bus was so miserably hot. They said the air conditioner was on but it was unbearable on the bus. They won’t let you drink on the bus…even though it’s over a 4 hour drive ( one way). We were told we would stop for lunch and dinner. We stopped at a gas station type place that only had pre-packed sandwiches. There was very little options and you only had 30 minutes to get food, eat and use the bathroom. I waited in line for the bathroom over 20 minutes because there were two full tour buses stopped there. I barely had anytime to eat. This was the same situation for dinner. The tour guide was nice but it was hard to understand her accent at times and she spoke so quietly that we couldn’t hear her in the back of the bus. On two occasions, members of the group were late, like 30-40 minutes late. We waited on them. This meant that we got home even later and wait on this hot, miserable bus for an extra 40 minutes. Even though, it was stated numerous times when to be back at the bus. In my option, after 20 minutes, they should have been left. Everyone on the bus was upset we had to wait on them TWICE. Once we arrived at Mont St. Michel we only had like 2 1/2 hours and we felt so rushed. I would have liked more time to explore. Overall, you basically pay for the transportation and the tickets for the abbey. It was almost $400 for my husband and I and with all that in consideration, I would rent a car. That way you can stop when you want and stay as long as you want.
