As others have mentioned, this is a highly recommended trip. It makes a number of stops so I felt that got a good overview of the battlegrounds and the battle. A couple of tips to help- these stops are all memorials etc so there is not much time or availability of refreshments- this is a good tour to pack a extra bottle of water for the afternoon. If you want to look up a specific grave in the American Cemetery, I would find it on the internet and study it where it is so that you can go directly when you visit the cemetery. There really is not a lo of time to do a search and locate. The tour is a full 14 hours as it takes about 3 hours to get there and back plus the time to drive between the different stops. The bus was a double decker so we were not overly crowded and it did have a toilet within the bus. it made it a comfortable ride.
The tour was excellent - I wish we had more time. Our guide, Elicia was wonderful. She provided facts and additional local knowledge of the battles and how the environment impacted decisions. I would recommend this tour to anyone
Herve W. was a phenomenal guide! Not only did he provide our group of 6 with lots of information on WWII sites and battles, but he also gave us a tour of Paris sites we passed while leaving the city for Normandy.
A lot to fit into one day but it worked and we were so glad we did it!
Tour was amazing....but not enough time was allowed at each locale. Instead of having 20 minutes at 5 sites, maybe have more time and less sites. 20 minutes was barely long enough for the girls in our group to stand in line at the restrooms.
It was very sobering to see these sights that were so important to the victory of WWII. The American Cemetery and Memorial brought tears to my eyes at the great loss of life.
Lots of history on this tour. Our guide was very informative. Dont miss this tour if you go to France.
Great tour. The guide added a trip to the Canadian cemetery for me because I and #39;m Canadian. Good lunch at a very nice place in the country. Great trip.
Magnus was fantastic! This was my second trip to Normandy but it was far better with a knowledgeable tour guide. The lunch was wonderful as well!
A long day, but very well worth the trip. The locations provide a good overview. Our guide, Rémy, was fabulous.
This tour was fantastic. For someone who enjoys learning about war history, I definitely recommend this tour. Our guide was extremely knowledgeable, she really put the timeline of events in perspective. I wish we got more time to explore at each place on our own but overall fantastic!
This tour was fantastic. Highly recommend the more intimate 8 person tour, made for a much more interactive experience. Our Tour host Harvey was awesome. Really knowledgeable and engaging for everyone, whether they were quite knowledgeable about the events surrounding the invasion or not. As there were mostly Canadians in our group, he tailored it slightly to include more of Juno and the Canadian cemetery which we really appreciated. It was really humbling to visit the places where such heroic and tragic events had unfolded during the invasion. Really enjoyed the day.
Bus was comfortable and on-time. Guide was knowledgeable. We were able to see several key sites in one day.
Elisa was wonderful. The tour very interesting and informative however, a really long day!! Not her fault--just the distance covered. The lunch was very good. The place lovely. Stan and Betty Block
Normandy on Memorial Day. It was incredibly moving and having an opportunity to see where such an important part of history occurred was very special. A long day that was especially rewarding, including our guide, Claude, and lunch in a country location that was delicious.

This was absolutely the highlight of the stay in Paris. Although it was a chilly, rainy day, we got to see the sights of Normandy. My traveling friend and I both have issues walking due to bad knees. The driver got as close as he could, and assisted us in boarding the bus. A must-see tour.
This tour was absolutely amazing. We had a wonderful tour guide who described our surroundings, historical events, and landmarks from the moment we left Paris to the moment we returned, which broadened our understanding of all the areas we got to know on this trip. Once in Normandy, the visit to the museum was truly inspirational as it continued with a show and rooms including pictures and articles from WWII and at times, it was possible to believe one had gone back in time. Walking the beach at Normandy and seeing the different landing sites is something that mere reading which I have done a lot of or movies cannot fully explain, and our visit to the American Cemetery-memorial and seeing the rows of all the young men and women who fought and died for freedom was breath-taking and inspirational. Upon our return to Paris, we arrived just when the Eiffel Tower lights started sparkling and twinkling 9pm which was an awesome sight. Highly recommend this tour-a long day, but well worth it!
Toured with Frederick and just the two of us, the other six cancelled. A rainy day made the trip more meaningful as there weren't any beach goers and gave you more of a sense of being there on the invasion day. Frederick was able to tailor to our interest level at the various sites. Well Done
This tour was awesome! A great day and great experience! Highly recommend. We had 7 US passengers on our shuttle. Driver is your guide for day. Several stops on two beaches with good history recap of WWII, and then lovely French lunch at historic farm B and B. Back in Paris by early evening.
Time was well spent. Good guide that was able to answer all questions. I would do it again.
Fantastic day tour. What a great way to visit such historical cites/memorials. We even had a group lunch provided to us at one of the memorials. Well worth it.
This was a very somber and moving experience, our guide was very informative.
This tour was amazing! Our guide Nicholas was awesome! The farmhouse lunch was great and more than I expected. This was a bucket list visit that exceeding my expectations. Highly recommend the 8 person tour.
