This is a great tour and comes highly recommended! We left Paris in a beautiful coach bus on a dark, rainy morning in November and arrived at Utah Beach before 11:00AM. We were greeted by a beautiful sunny day - we left the rain behind us in Paris! The museum at Utah beach was great - full of stories and artifacts from D Day. We then went on to the Cider tasting which was very interesting and relaxing - a nice change from the beaches. We then had lunch at a wonderful French restaurant in a marina a short distance away. We then went on to see more of the beaches and were able to enter the actual bunkers used by the Germans. Next was the American Cemetery which was simply beautiful and very inspiring! Our final stop was a short visit to Omaha Beach. All in all this was a great day - we were back in Paris just before 9:00PM - it was still raining!
Just one more thing to mention - our guide Felix was just great! Beside being very friendly and charming, he was very knowledgeable about World War II and was able to answer the many questions we had abut D Day and the war.
My husband and I went on this tour and absolutely loved it! Our guides, Emily and Charles, were incredibly knowledgeable and did a fantastic job of educating us and giving us the history of each site that we went to. Each location was incredibly powerful and I wish we had more time to absorb it all. Also, the cider tasting and lunch were delicious!
This is a wonderful all-day experience. Our guide was SO knowledgeable and interactive. A former college instructor, he brought an historic perspective that filled the gaps for me.
The cider tasting was an interesting and delightful stop over between sites and a great way to see an active apple farm and experience an unusually rustic and lovely location and product. Highly recommend. It's LONG, but worth it. And ask for Felix if you can get him - he was amazing!
My father landed on Omaha beach on the third day of the invasion. I was not prepared for the profound experience I had and shared with others there. This tour is so much more than that, though. The beautiful fall colors and French countryside, Utah beach and the museum, the German cemetery, the cider farm at Vergers de Romilly, the seaside village where we ate an excellent lunch, the American cemetery and Omaha Beach were all amazing! My favorite place Pointe du Hoc, were 225 American climbed a 100 ft. cliff to overtake the highest place on he English Channel. They captured four German machine gun emplacements, six casements and an observation bunker. 135 were to lose their lives. The land looks like a moonscape with huge craters everywhere covered with grass and broken concrete, amongst black grazing sheep and the most incredible view of the English Channel. Why did we never learn about this in school?
This tour was fantastic! From the early morning start to the finish, Charlie and Emily walked us through everything. Their knowldege about the history and the landscape during that time was awesome. I'd highly recommend this tour for anyone that wants to learn anything about Normandy and D-Day. This is also a nice day away from the hustle and bustle of Paris
Very long day but very enjoyable. Excellent guide very knowledgeable lunch was fantastic

This was a wonderful experience and our guide, Charlie, has ruined us as far as tour guides go. He was so knowledgeable and personable that the day just flew by and was a complete joy. He not only had all the facts and statistics but also had anecdotal stories that just made everything all the more interesting, even if war/military history isn't your thing. Charlie, we should have gotten your number so that next time we're in Paris, you could show us around. You were so personable and knowledgeable, we appreciated it so much...and easy on the eyes to boot! We thoroughly enjoyed our day in Normandy and would recommend this day trip for anyone - the military and history buffs or even those just looking to see a bit of French countryside, the beaches were beautiful.
An amazing day with passionate and knowledgeable guides, Kate and Felix. We made it to the cemetery in time for the flag ceremony, which was very moving. Highly recommend this tour.
This was my second trip to Normandy. The first one was one my travel agent lined up. This one was much better. The tour guides were extremely knowledgeable and one was an American and the other was a Croatian who's English was as good as mine. Also the itinerary provided just the right amount of time at each stop given we only had one day. Great job!
Felix and Kate, our tour guides made the trip so enjoyable with their knowledge and sense of humor. The whole tour was exceptionally well coordinated from the time we left until we returned. For the most part, we enjoyed enough time at each of the stops, but we could have used more in others. We realize that is the nature of a one-day trip, so this is more of an observation than a criticism. The lunch at a quaint restaurant was delicious freshly caught fish!, and the cider tasting was a very pleasant side trip. Normandy has been on my husband's bucket list for a long time, and this trip exceeded all expectations--truly a memorable experience. Thank you!
Our guides, Charlie and Hugo were absolutely wonderful! They did an amazing job of showing us the D-Day area and answering any questions .They were both very knowledgeable in WWII history. It was a great experience and an informative day. Visiting Pointe de Hoc and the American Cemetery was very moving. I would highly recommend this tour.

WOW! The tour guide Charlie was fantastic. A young history enthusiast. We stoped at Utah beach, Omaha Beach and the cemetery where my uncle was buried. If you have a loved one there, look up their marker location before you go. It will save time! Cider tasting was plentiful. Stories and sights were magnificent and touching. Pointe du Hoc was amazing and sad, with blown out bunkers all over the place and craters stretched as far as you can see. Ability to walk around all the bunkers and craters. Long drive from Paris with breaks at the gas station/truck stop for food, etc.
Charlie is very knowledgeable of this important event, and showed at all times his personal interest in the subject. He was very patient and personable in answering everyone's' questions. Charlie coordinated tasting and lunch so well we had no waiting time on our arrival. Oh, and the lunch, no lunch box! It was a real Normandy gourmet feast. Rather than a distraction, the Cider tasting was an enjoyable part of the trip. Finally, I want to thank Charlie and Kaspais, our driver for making this tour very special to our group. Bus coach was very comfortable.
My guide, Felix, was amazing and attentive and knowledgable! The company even called to make sure I knew how to get to the meeting location in the morning. Also the lunch was surprisingly fantastic. Highly recommend!
Our tour guide was exceptionally well informed and made the tour more than I expected. I would highly recommend this tour to anyone coming to France.
Felix gave us a great tour of Normandy and Omaha and Utah Beaches. He was so knowledgeable and answered all our questions. It was a moving exlerience. We loved the cider tasting and also the tasting of the cognac and jams. The lunch was excellent and we enjoyed meeting the others on the tour. Highly recommended!
Perfect! Nice mix of beach tour and seeing the countryside. Our guide was quite helpful and made the tour more interesting and historically meaningful.
Fantastic and amazing! Getting to Normandy in the comfort of a coach bus with fun and knowledgable tour guides allows you to enjoy the experience stress free. Do not miss the chance to experience this part of history. Kate and Linda were great tour guides!
An amazing tour with a very knowledgeable tour guide, Daniel the Irishman! My husband and I felt it was the highlight of our trip to Paris.
Tour was informative and the guides knew what they were talking about. Only drawback was the rainy weather which did not allow a lot of time at the cemetary but you cannot predict the weather. The lunch at a seaside restaurant was fantastic. I recommend this tour.
This was a great tour. The guide Pierre was excellent. The group size was small enough as well. We were blessed with excellent weather and because the group was small enough, we were able to save enough time to actually get to Omaha beach as well as Utah beach.
Both the lunch and the cider tasting stops were VERY good indeed. Great lunch, and I have a personal preference for cider -- we managed to purchase a bottle which we now have at home.
This is a LONG tour -- which is made clear in the description. Because of that, I'd not recommend it for families with small children -- 14 hours is a long time and of course there is quite a bit of bus travel totally unavoidable.
The Utah museum and the other sites including the cemetery were also spot on choices.
I'd highly recommend this tour and our guide.
This trip was fantastic! Several times through the years I had planned to do this trip on my own, but I am so glad I did this tour instead. It was so easy, and so much fun! Our guide Felix was absolutely amazing! I can't say enough good about him. The trip from Paris to the beaches was on a comfortable bus and the driver Larry was great. Along the way Felix filled us with details and history. At each stop we learned more. Felix rattled off answers and facts like our personal Google... Amazing! Lunch by the sea was wonderful and the entire trip was just enough, but not rushed. This trip was a great value, I can't believe we did it all in one day! Fantastic!
Daniel was excellent, kept thing interesting and moving without anyone feeling rushed. The weather (cool, rainy, and windy) added to the ambiance of the tour. Would recommend him for any tour he leads. Thanks for a great time!
