I highly recommend this tour, our guide was one of the best we had on all of our tours his knowledge and helpful tips went beyond the trip. Normandy is an experience, the loss of life is still felt at the different areas but so too is the resilience of humans to rebuild and learn.
The trips to the cider farm and the sea town for lunch were lovely and absolutely delicious. A great tour full of history of the area and wonderful sights and tastes.
Great tour. Very educational. Will do it again next time we visit.
Normandy was on our bucket list and our expectations were high. We thoroughly enjoyed all stops on this tour. Our tour van had a flat tire the way and our guide and driver added another beach landing site to compensate. Our guide Zach was outstanding giving us interesting background so that we understood what led up to D-Day and including many happenings we were unaware of. The trip from Paris was long but the French countryside was beautiful to look at. The lunch and cider tasting added to the French Normandie experience. The Normandy American Memorial Cemetery was moving to see and experience. All of those brave young men who stormed the beaches and cliffs with too many sacrificing their young lives for honor and Country were truly the Greatest Generation. The average age of those buried there and those memorialized as missing was twenty four.
Wonderful tour! Well timed day full of interesting information by both guides Laura and Erwin! They were very helpful with us locating a family members grave, offering additional information or time for the family to be alone. Highly recommended.
Our tour guide Daniel, the Irish guy did a fantastic job. He was comprehensive in his background briefings and so knowledgeable, which made the tour even better. Highly recommended. Peter and Brigitte
My daughter and I took this trip and thought it was terrific. The sites were very moving and the amount of time to explore at each was just right. The cider factory and lunch were a wonderful break from the drama and emotion of the landing sites and the cemetery. Our guide Rafael was engaging and very knowledgeable. Would use Viator again.

I been waiting for fifty four years to visit NORMANDY, my life dream finally came through. May those HEROS REST IN PEACE!!!!!!
It was really nice. The tour guide was very knowledgeable and made the experience really rich and memorable. The Cider tasting was a great break. The lunch exceed my expectations - it was a nice restaurant in a cute small village - both options were amazing fish or meat. We stayed 5 days in Paris and my husband really wanted to visit the D-Landing site. We met early in the morning at the Eiffel Tower and the sunrise was amazing. We came at sunset - another amazing view to complete the day. We totally recommend.
This should be a required tour for all Americans. Nothing screams self sacrifice more than the American cemetery in Normandy which contains the mortal remains of almost 10,000 American heroes. Forget celebrities and athletes, these brave men are the real deal.
The tour provided time to walk along Utah Beach and observe up close the cliffs at Point du Hoc that the American Rangers scaled. There is also a B-26 bomber and several tanks on display. The logistics of what was necessary to accomplish D-Day are more readily understood and appreciated when you are there to see the lay of the land for yourself
Highly recommend this tour from Paris. Great way to see another important area of France while on a Paris trip. Daniel our guide was excellent. Very informative, competent and entertaining. Tour well worth the time and money.
We had Daniel the irish guy for our guide. A very long day 7am to 9pm but very worth doing. Danial was a great guide. Had good knowledge of the area and history. Knew when to talk and when not to. The lunch was the best we had on any tour. The Cider winery tour was good as well. Would do this tour again. Just make sure you know exactly where to meet in the morning, we almost missed the tour because of a bad cab ride.
This was great! Very inspirational and made us proud to be Americans!
I'll admit, I wasn't super excited about this trip when we booked. It's my husband who's into WW2 history. I was mostly there to earn brownie points with him. But man, was this an excellent tour. Our guides, Laura and Zach, were phenomenal. As we rode from Paris to Normandy, Laura gave a great historical set-up for the sites we'd see that day. I kept thinking that if my history teachers in school had been as good as Laura, I'd have done a lot better on my exams! The day itself was well-paced, with rest stops on the way to and from Normandy. We had plenty of free time at each of the sites, and the cider tasting broke up the day really nicely. And what a treat! The tasting was at a family cider farm, and we were the only ones there. A good way to get a taste of Normandy! The beach sites and the cemetery were both moving and scenic. Though I didn't come into this tour with a lot of specific D-Day knowledge, our guides contextualized it in a way that made the sites come to life. It didn't hurt that one site, Pointe du Hoc, still bore the actual artillery craters in the ground and original German bunkers. Laura and Zach really went out of their way to connect with every person on our tour, and even took the time at the end to answer other questions we might have about what to do in Paris. Zach even gave us a hilarious run-down of French culture. We've done a lot of tour group excursions all over the world, and Zach and Laura were by far the best guides we've ever had. Oh, and my husband loved our tour. Brownie points earned after all!
What a memorable and outstanding experience this was for us! Our group was a smaller one, about 14 people, which I think made it even more enjoyable because we got the opportunity to get to know the others. We were all moved by this experience! Laura, our tour guide, added so much with her knowledge, patience, willingness to answer our questions, etc. She is a Rock Star! Ask for Laura! I am attaching a picture of Laura at our Cider Tasting. She is in white.
Going out to the French countryside was a welcome change of pace to the hustle and bustle of Paris. The drive was picturesque and very relaxing! Lunch was delicious. The destinations of the D-Day Landing Beaches, Museums, and the American Cemetery left you with a humble and reverent feeling. I will never forget this excursion! Do it!
Excellent tour! It was amazing to learn the history and visit the sites in France from an American's perspective. We visited Utah beach, land between Utah/Omaha beaches, had a seaside lunch, went to a unique Cider farm, and visited the American cemetery. The tour guide made the tour worth it overall.
It was an amazing trip. We would take more time next time, 1 day is just not enough time to see it ll. Our guide was Danny and he was so nice and very informative.
This tour was really informative and was a great way to get a glimpse into the history of the Normandy region. Our tour guide Laura was so knowledgeable and made the history of the area come alive in the way she presented it. She was also very personable and eager to give advice about the rest of our stay in Paris. The D-Day beaches are definitely worth the ride to visit, and our stop at the Cider farm where we were greeted by Benjamin and his dog was really enjoyable. All around this tour was a great way to spend the day and well worth it.
Our guides, Raphael and Alejandro, were informative and nice. They kept our large group moving from place to place, so we were able to see everything that we expected to see. The trip to Normandy from Paris was rather long but we did enjoy viewing the French countryside from the windows of a comfortable chartered bus. We stopped along the way for a bathroom break and snacks, but you could also bring your own snacks on the bus. Lunch was delicious and served in a restaurant of a French fishing village. The Cider tasting was fun, but I wasn't a big fan of most of the drinks. The only thing I would change would be to have more time at the Museum at Utah Beach. There was so much to see. I recommend wearing very comfortable shoes. There was a lot of walking including some around uneven ground of the battlefield of Omaha Beach.
I loved this trip! Laura was our tour guide and she was simply amazing! She had a wealth of knowledge that she shared with enthusiasm and passion. She was very personable and made a whole bus full of strangers feel like family. Standing on two of the beaches of D-day and visiting the museum brought tears to my eyes. It gave you a true understanding of how hard our veterans fought in WWII. The apple cider farm was just an added touch. It took our minds away from our emotions and let us taste real apple cider and jam, and learn about the work and dedication that goes into every bottle or jar. Finally, my heart was complete. Visiting with over 9,000 of our veterans was priceless. They gave the ultimate sacrifice and I was blessed to visit with them. Overall, the tour is worth every minute and penny. The additional tour guide and bus driver were also amazing. Wish I could remember their names I would highly recommend this tour!
