We had an AMZING time on our Chocolate and Pastry tour. Our guide, Josie, was awesome! She was extremely knowledgable, personable, and a fellow Chicagoan so we got along great! My husband and I were in Paris for our honeymoon, and being a couple of food lovers, this tour was right up our alley. What was even better was that it ended up being a private tour, as we were the only ones signed up! It was great to walk around Paris, not only exploring a new area of the city, but learning the history of breads, jams, chocolates, macarons, and so much more! We had so much fun tasting all the different food items and talking with the different shop owners and workers mostly through Josie as her French is MUCH better than mine : and we discovered so many new things! I, for one, discovered that I actually DO like White Chocolate, I've just never had it made correctly. We also discovered a new favorite jam shop that we will for sure be visiting when we are in Paris again. Overall, it was one of our favorite activities of our Honeymoon, and highly recommend anyone visiting Paris check out!

Great fun - a true highlight of a very short visit to Paris. Eloise, our guide, took us on a zigzag route through the Marais district to several chocolatiers and pastry bakers. We learned about bean to bar chocolate making and got to sample chocolates from several countries that grow the beans only located around the Equator. Learned the difference between French and American pralines. Sampled Chartreuse liqueur and chocolates filled with the same. Had bakery treats at a lone Jewish bakery most were closed for the Sabbath, and learned the roots of American delicatessen food came from Ashkenazi immigrants/refugees. Had authentic macarons for the first time and was pleasantly surprised by the texture chewy, not hard.

This is something you cannot do on your own: identify the best chocolate and pastry shops in Paris, walk in, and taste samples. My wife sprained her knee and couldn't make the excursion, and they gave me samples to take back to her.

Another wonderful highlight of our visit to Paris. David was our guide and was fantastic. He gave us other wonderful tidbits of info regarding building architecture and historical points while still teaching us about what makes a good chocolate! We also learned WHERE to get the best macaroon and he was spot on. The samples are just right and every stop has a little something different. Highly recommend this with kids and try to get David! This tour and our private Louvre tour were are two favorites while in Paris.

Our guide was well versed in Parisian and French history. During the walking tour she was able to combine the food with history and make it extremely interesting. With respect to the chocolate and pastry she provided a wide array of tastes and textures with the different shops we visited.
