Traveler Tips

I would recommend this tour to anyone, with or without kids.
The Morais district was a most interesting and historical part of Paris and well worth the walk not to mention the many samples had along the way I would definitely recommend this tour.

Pastry choco tour tastes magnifique!
Chrisana_G, Sep 2022
Our tour guide was very aware of the best choices in each shop, and would guide us on where to purchase items. She was also very inspired by each of the shop owners, and added a lot of details for us fact-wise. We tasted some thing in every shop, and she just kept a mental tab on fairness and amounts to taste. Not a lot of eating but was enough to get a feel of the variety of main pastry and chocolates. Would have liked more of a variety of tastings per shop, but the experience of visiting top specialty shops was priceless. Each was delicate and artistic and delicious. Next time will be able to find them on my own and spend more time. Saw about 6-8 places plus a tea shop.

I was in the tour with my two sons and ex husband. When it started we were the only ones there, as the other family in the tour was stuck in traffic. So the first chocolate stop was nice and informative. But once the family showed up (and had more people than us), our guide completely ignored us. It was awful. He did not even invite us to come into the shops. It was beyond words terrible so we actually left about half way through the tour (no we did not get a refund or even a partial refund). He clearly did not know how to balance multi participant tours. I would only do this tour if it is private. Otherwise you throw the dice if you will actually get included in the tour rather than have to “tag along and hover”.
Our guide was fantastic...

Amazing experience!!
Nicole_B, Aug 2022
Barbara was a fabulous guide!! I would love to do other tours with her. Amazing experience. She went above and beyond, with history of chocolate and even pointed out landmarks along the way.
Wonderful casual stroll with great food
Andrew_B, Aug 2022
Experience was great. Our guide did an awesome job of explaining how French pastries and chocolate were made and why. The food was incredible and we learned a lot about the history of the area.
Yummy tasting around Paris
Angeline_Z, Aug 2022
This was an excellent tour. The food was delicious and our guide was excellent. She took the time to explain the history of each place we visited and how they made the specialty that we were tasting. Unfortunately it was something like 38 degrees so we were all hot and bothered, which made it difficult to really enjoy the tour.

A great tour
Kate_F, Aug 2022
Our tour guide was excellent! In addition to bringing us to taste delicious things in places we would not likely have found on our own, she also was so knowledgeable about the area and local history. It was fun, would highly recommend.
The tastiest sweets in Paris in 2 hours
Joanne_S, Jul 2022
So much fun to get some history of and taste samples of the finest chocalatiers ond patissiers Though many of these have been on my “must go” list over several trips, many others were new to me, and offered views into new trends in chocolate-making, as well as the beauty of hewing to traditional methods with the highest rigor.
In addition to tasting...
Rajagopal_R, Jul 2022
In addition to tasting some incredible sweet treats, Romain took us to some wonderful parks and hidden spots in the Marais! It was a wholesome experience!
Do not waste your money totally displeased
Christina_A, Jul 2022
This was the most disappointing and unprofessional tour we have taken in the last 20 years. The tour guide was totally uneducated for the area and was unprepared for this tour. We took this tour two years ago and we’re so happy with it that we decided to come back and do it again with our daughter but could not even finish the tour and left early as the tour guide could not even navigate or explain one site or a bit of information about chocolate. The guide was repeatedly researching locations and information on her phone as she navigate it. It’s almost as if she woke up that morning and decided “I’m going to be a chocolate tour guide”. When asked, the tour guide explained this was her only second tour doing this; there should be a much better vetting process from the company before letting such an inexperienced person perform the services for this kind of money. We felt we knew more than the guide by doing the tour before. We would never ever recommend this tour again to anyone.

Great way to spend 2 hours in Paris!
Margaret_S, Jul 2022
My 14 year old daughter and I enjoyed this tour! It is a great way to spend 2 hours in Paris. Our guide was charming and took us around to a variety of shops in the Marais. He gave a bit of history about the area and pointed out some notable landmarks. We popped into a church and a park and also stopped for a drink. And of course we tasted lots of sweets!!! We tasted a variety of things and it was just really fun!
Mediocre Tour
berylkim, Jul 2022
Our guide was a nice woman who was not necessarily French but spoke French. She gave us a tour of several nice chocolate shops and bakeries which were all tasty. She was very accommodating and nice “but” we constantly felt rushed throughout our visits in the shops. We didn’t really get a tour or historical info about the Saint Germain area. I learned very little about this area. Our guide simply took us to the local shops which we could’ve easily done on our own through our own research. We went on several tours in Paris by other companies and all of our tours were great. Unfortunately this tour was very disappointing.
Sweet Tour, Great Guide, Needs More Variety
Marilyn_F, Jul 2022
We were a family with young kids, and we all enjoyed our tour guide, Tibo, who was very interesting and engaging. It was fun to see the different shops and the beautiful way they package things. However everyone got a little tired of so many chocolate shops ~ too much of a good thing! Since we had children along and didn't want to do wine, we would like to have found a tour with one cheese, one pastry/croissant, one chocolate, one macaron, and maybe one crepe. Sampling kid favorites!
Excellent tour

Enjoyed very much our guide he was most concerned about our enjoying our time with him and he was most attentive. His knowledge of the subject was very illuminating
Delicious experience

There should be an age...
Tara_C, Jun 2022
There should be an age limit on these trips. A couple brought their 2 children who fought with each other the entire time. It was incredibly disruptive. Tour guide was awesome!
More than the amazing sweets.
James_R, Jun 2022
The best part, even better than the tastings, was understanding the nuances and complexities of the different culinary arts, as well as the history associated with them. Our guide was extremely knowledgeable and welcoming.

Tasty treats
MaryAnn_W, Jun 2022
Good shops and tasty treats. Not much time to purchase items. Wish there had been water available. Having to climb to the second floor without a rail was difficult. T was amusing and quite knowledgeable.
Great experience.
Lorraine_G, Jun 2022
Barbara was an exception tour guide. Brought to the most delicious places and gave us a wealth of information on them all.
