Caroline was terrific! We had the best time on this tour and I highly recommend it. We tasted so many things - I was so full that I took the last few things back with me to eat later. We had chocolates, pastries, breads, macaroons, ice cream, madelines and croissants. It was just our family of four on the tour so we were very lucky to have a private tour. Caroline made this day so special for our daughter who had her 10th birthday on the day of the tour. I am so glad I booked this!
My daughter and I absolutely loved this tour! Christine, our guide, took us to some really interesting and unique chocolate and pastry shops, places that we never would have known to have gone to without extensive research. Christine was lovely, a very knowledgeable and generous host and I would highly recommend this tour to any foodie. Don't eat much before hand as you do get to taste some amazing things at each place, my favourite the Choquettes from La Maison du Chou, just divine!
Our tour guide was great and she took us to so many chocolate and pastry eateries. We got an understanding of the way tradition still exists as far as the culinary arts goes.
This was an excellent tour. One guide to five participants. The guide's knowledge of chocolate, pastries, breads as well as architecture and history of paris was exceptional. The tastings were surperb and included an eclair of our choice that was indescribable, choux pastry filled with apple which melted in the mouth and chocolates made from the best ingredients. Definitively a must when in Paris! G from Adelaide
An amazing tour with a fabulous guide, Stefan. I enjoyed the variety of options we tasted and the extra commentary he provided.
We loved Cedric. He was knowledgeable about the history of the Marais neighborhood and the history of Paris in general. We went to fabulous pastry shops but the chocolate shops were the best. We especially loved the Edwart chocolate shop was the best!
We have traveled to many cities in the past. This by far was the best tour we have ever been on. I went on this tour with my 11 year old daughter. Our guide was enthusiastic and knowledgeable not only about the pastry and chocolate shops that we visited but she gave us a great amount of information and suggestions for anything we wanted to know in the area. The food was amazing and samples were plentiful. We never would have found the shops without going on this tour. We also learned a lot about the culture and the history. Try to do this tour early in your trip!
Fabulous tour. Not only were the tastings delicious but the background info on chocolate and the world of gastronomie was so enlightening! Our guide Chrstine, also gave us much history as well as stops at some very interesting little alleyways and architectural details of the area! Highly recommend this tour!
David was absolutely fantastic! We could not have asked for a better tour guide. He was a perfect person to do a tour for Americans as he emphasized the history of friendship between the US and France. He was knowledgeable, well spoken and very sweet. He even brought bottled water for each of us.

Great fun. Not only saw many different shops and tested many chocolates and pastries but we were able to wander the neighborhood and get the flavor pun intended of the left bank.
I loved this tour! Irene, my tour guide, was very knowledgeable and gave me some great information about the history of the area we were in, as well as the shops we visited. I went on a Sunday in the Marais district and I was soo full of delicious samples by the end!!
Great Experience, a lot of pastry to taste and make sure you take a picture of the location address so it will be easy to go back to purchase some more.
I know it seems silly but we learned more about Paris in this tour than anything else we did. Our guide David was absolutely amazing. He took us to the best places and genuinely tried to make our tour both knowledgeable and fun. Even if you don't have a sweet tooth you would enjoy this tour!
This tour was more than just tasting chocolate and pastry, it also had a bite size of history and culture !!
Highly recommend it!
The day was rainy and cool but that did deter us!
What a fabulous tour! The chocolates and pastries really tasted like something special that were unique to Paris. What beautiful creations they were! Our guide, Cedric, seemed to really relish our enjoyment of them! His depth of knowledge about architecture, French history, and local insights was truly astounding. It was a joy to share his love for it all with him. Thanks for creating a memory!
If you're a choice-o-holic or have an insatiable sweet tooth, you'll love this tour. Erell, our tour guide, was very nice and knowledgable. Not only about breads and pastries, but about the city as well. We learned some interesting facts about Paris in between stops. Some of the items were to beautiful to eat...but, we did anyway! - We sampled delicious breads, pastries and chocolates in the Saint Germain des Pres quarter. We even bought additional items to bring back to the hotel and home. FYI: if you're purchasing items to bring home with you, ask how long the item will last. Some items only have a self life of 3 days as they are made fresh daily and don't have preservatives added. An added bonus was we didn't feel guilty samplingand there were a lotas we walked the whole tour.
A fascinating tour. Our guide, David, was very knowledgeable and passionate about the subject.
A very filling and informative tour, not for the lactose intolerant. Beautiful pastries and chocolate and informative information on Paris while walking to shops by our knowledgeable and passionate guide.
Christine was the most eccentric, wonderful, passionate guide we could have dreamt of! We had tons of fun and learnt a lot, not just about chocolate and pastries, but history both in relation to food and otherwise. My mum and I were the only ones who signed up so it ended up being a private tour and as we all got carried away talking and laughing, the tour was extended. It was a well-planned gastronomic adventure and we had traditional chocolates, innovative new chocolates, macaroons, vienoisseries, pastries, macaroons, drinking chocolate etc.! It was pretty crazy. Highly recommended if you can afford it. It didn't feel touristy, more like a real novelty, the haute couture of food even my Parisian friends didn't know about some of the names whose creations we tasted. Thank you Christine!
Amazing experience! Guide was phenomenal! Wouldn't recommend this tour for diabetics, though--we were spoiled with so many decadent samples!!!
Excellent, small group of 4 people. Great sampling of several different chocolate makers. Our guide gave historical information as we travelled from shop to shop, which was enjoyable.
