Paris Christmas Lights Tour

The staff at the office was very helpful. The hot dring before departure and the blanket were nice touches. there two problems: 1. The expectation is to see a lot more lights than we saw. 2. the bus was traveling fairly slow so the recorded commentary didn't match what we were seeing.
Poor customer service. Tour not what is billed.

I don’t even know where to begin with this review. First of all, it is a basic bus tour with recorded audio of the Paris sites. No Christmas music and you just happen to see the Christmas lights because they are everywhere. If you’ve already taken a bus tour of the sites and looking for something with holiday feel, this is not it. Paris is a gorgeous city and it was beautiful to see at night but buyer beware. What is the most egregious part of this experience was the horrid customer service. First of all it is not a well thought out process and as such, there was chaos and revolt to change your reservation into a ticket. The team was overwhelmed, they could not come up with a creative solution and when we finally got our tickets it had been over an hour wait to do so and 30 min after the bus was scheduled to depart. We were told to smile after such an inconvenience and very poor service with what should have been a magical last night in Paris. If you are looking for that authentic Parisian experience wrought with disorder, poor service, disregard for your time and indifference, then book this trip.
Not what we expected
, Dec 2019
While it was cool to see the city at night, it was not at all what we expected. There was no Christmas music playing between locations and we spent more time waiting to start on the bus and sitting in traffic than anything else. Several parties got off the bus before the tour was over due to the delays. Other than a few areas with Christmas lights/trees there was not much that made this a Christmas light tour by night. Very disappointed and wish we saved our money for something else.

We participated on Dec 1.. maybe the first day for it.. the place was difficult to find... the line to change your reservation to a ticket was long and chaotic ... the boy pouring the hot drinks did a great job and they were hot.. the blanket was nice.. but dress warm if up top... the commentary was very limited.. out of date(be sure to visit Notre Dame) and there was no Christmas music.. Paris it turns out is not really a city of Christmas it was really just a city tour(we were glad we had not had time to do the hop on hop off earlier) It was not really what they advertised

Very cold but amazing sights that were so pretty. They also made sure they were near the Eifell tower when it twinkled. We were provided with a thin blanket which we took home as a souvenir but extra warm clothing is a must

Kind of badly organized as it was chaotic figuring out which bus we were supposed to board, and we did not start the tour until 6:30pm, which could be a problem if you have dinner reservations. That said, it was worth it for the amazing photo ops of the lit up Eiffel Tower and other sights.

Firstly, it was a nightmare trying to find our tour operator. I tried to contact a VIATOR operator telephonically but was not able to. Extremely disappointed and will not recommend or use VIATOR AGAIN!!! I have made several bookings with VIATOR and I am not happy with the service I have received.

The Paris Christmas lights were TERRIFIC and the tour outstanding. It would have been helpful to CLEARLY MARK the fact that we needed more than just our voucher. That it needed to be exchanged at the tour office for tickets. We waited in line for 30 minutes and then had to get out of the line, go back and wait in another 20 minute line to exchange the voucher for tickets and then get back in line. There was nothing to indicate that we had to exchange the voucher. As a matter of fact the voucher as it reads, seems to indicate nothing more was necessary. It wasn't the end of the world, but would have been great to know! Otherwise ... tour itself... magnificent!
