I have a whole new respect for the art of croissant making! The instructor was excellent, the class started on time, her english was perfect and we ended up with croissant to go which was amazing! Totally recommend this activity.
Perfect way to enjoy a morning in Paris! I was excited to experience a class on how to make the most famous of all pastries, the croissant. I definitely have a new appreciation in to the amount of skill and work that goes into creating these gorgeous fluffy pastries. The learning space was a professional kitchen with plenty of room and our teacher was highly skilled. I had so many croissants and pain au chocolat to take home that I was eating them for breakfast and afternoon snacks for a couple of days. Highly recommend this class.
We had a lot of fun at this class. Julie was great. I had no idea how much work goes into making croissants and I honestly have a much larger appreciation for them now. Ours tasted delicious when they were finished which surely helps. Near the end of the class Julie also gave us some great tips for nearby places to explore in the neighborhood. I definitely recommend this class.
This class was a truly unique and entirely French experiencea chocolate-filled reprieve from historical walking tours. We were staying in Montmartre, so the bakery was close and easy to find. Our head baker Julie was kind, friendly, and immensely helpful without being overbearing. We had so much fun encouraging and teasing one another as our croissants and pan au chocolat came together. The process was abbreviated, sort of like on a cooking show where you skip the long wait for the dough to rise. Plus, we got to keep everything we baked!
This was an amazing class, very informative and I can't wait to try to replicate the results at home!
Julie was an awesome teacher. She explained every detail and we always felt like we knew what we were doing. Our croissants were delicious and we can't wait to try making them at home. Julie also didn't mind us asking lots of questions in general. Would definitely recommend this class. We will be back to do another one!
This was a great class, highly recommended. We made delicious croissants and pane au chocolat. We learnt all the steps from mixing / kneading the dough, rolling/proofing, cutting/shaping to baking. Eating them still warm straight from out of the oven was delightful. The teacher was very knowledgeable and answered all of our questions and gave us tips along the way.
Class was immensely informative, lots of fun, relaxed, comfortable, and I walked away with truly delectable croissants and the knowledge and confidence to make them again and again. Bravo!
My granddaughter and I really enjoyed this class. We and the teacher and others students laughed and devoured our croissants. Can't wait to make them at home. This class was the only one that gave us the recipe to take home instead of promising to email them, which we still haven't received.
Authenitic cooking class with full recipes. Julie our instructor was very knowledgable, well prepared and had a perfect temperament. Facilities were excellent as well. Great tour and highly recommended.
Very informative class with personalized instruction from an expert pastry maker. A wonderful way to experience a little bit of Paris.
I loved this class!I was made to feel very welcome, the chef was organised, knowledgeable and was happy to answers questions the group had.The class is hands on with treats to take home. The chef even knew a lady who runs a French patisserie in my home city, so guess where I'm going when I get home:)
What a great class! Severine was an excellent teacher and explained all steps so well, making sure we would be successful. The end result was amazing--had no
idea our croissants and pain au chocolat would look so nice and better yet, taste so good! My 18 year old grandson loved it too. Great fun!
Pretty fun class and the croissants were delicious. The class itself did not have a very French feel but it was still nice.
I had a great time at this baking class and learned a lot in a short time despite being a baker for many years. Julie was so knowledgeable in all technical aspects of making the croissant dough imparting great tips for making a successful end product. It was a bit far from my hotel, but definitely worth it. I would love to go back and try another class or a cooking one for longer in Paris.
Interesting to learn how croissants are made, if you have the time on your trip, I recommend this excursion.
