Our guide was nice but not at alll a good guide . He was knowledgeable but we only had 9 people and he never spoke to us as a group , instead he just talked and walked so only the one or two in front could hear him . In this case headsets would have been great ( we did a walking tour the next morning with 10 people and she gathered us often and spoke to the group and then walked so everyone knew what she was saying . Also our guide did not touch on most of the advertised items in the walks description. I’m sure if we knew what he was saying it would have been great . We were 5 minutes late as the cab driver dropped us off in a wrong spot , but your company called and got us to the correct spot so that was awesome ! Our guide was kinda rushed and I assumed it was because we were late , but we also ended 1/2 Hour early so he just didn’t seem to care if we got anything out of the tour .
There were some interesting things to see, and the tour guide
knew his stuff.
I will definitely come back to the Latin Quarter again.
I want to discover it more in depth.
Appreciated that I could see the steps where some scenes were shot
for the movie, Midnight in Paris.
And the bookstore, Shakespeare, where the novel Ulysses was first read, before
it was published.
I will go there on my next trip and experience it in depth.
Nice tour guide, although the tour was not incredibly interesting. What was memorable was the Shakespeare and Company store she showed us and told us about- and also knowing that Ernest Hemingway and Victor Hugo possibly wrote some of their work in the Latin Quarter. Great area, seriously. So much history and really inspiring.
I think it was a really nice tour, a good thing to do in evening instead of just hanging around. It was of course fragmented: two hours of everything, from 1600 until today, but i enjoyed it. You get a sense of the neighborhood and feel a bit smarter afterwards. The guide i think was great.
Sonja, our guide, was very knowledgeable of the area and made the tour very interesting. You definitely got to see the student night life. My only negative is that at night I couldn't really enjoy the architecture of the buildings.
Fun and informative. It was nice to have an evening touring option, so the scheduling was excellent. The price is very reasonable for what you get. My only criticism is that we did not go into any of the beautiful structures that we saw, not even for a quick peek.
I'm not sure how to feel about this tour. I feel like it could have been better. I think it wasn't quite what I was expecting. Our guide was Drew. We started at the Pantheon and ventured north to Notre Dame and back down to the Luxembourg Gardens to end the tour. I feel like after being in Paris for 2 weeks Rue Mouffetard should have been part of this tour. It really feels like the lively part of the Latin Quarter that most of us tourists envision. If we had ventured down that street after the Patheon then back north toward Notre Dame that would've made for a better tour I think. The other thing I didn't like was midway thru the tour visiting Notre Dame - it was totally unexpected. We had booked a separate tour for this and is it still the Latin Quarter? I think the tour should've hooked back south once we arrived at the Seine. We killed too much time at Notre Dame. I think it would've made more sense using that time at Rue Mouffetard to capture the most lively part of the Latin Quarter. Otherwise the tour was good - chill and as expected - just a tour to get better acquainted with the area we were staying in Paris.
We had an amazing time and this tour was well worth it as the area is very rich in culture and architecture. It made the rest of our stay quite deightful as our hotel was in the Latin Quarters and my husband and I was able to visit the different areas that was pointed out to us to buy souveneirs and to eat. Great guide and he was very patient and attentive to all that were on the tour.
Our tour guide Gill from Fat Bike Tire Tours was excellent. Very personable and made tour enjoyable. Got to see lots of famous sites and was very knowledgeable about the history behind them. Lots of walking - amazing way to get a great overview of the Latin quarter - I stayed in this area last year and never got to explore it in as much dept as I did with this tour. Highly recommend
