What You Can Expect

Paris to Bruges Day Trip

Bruges, Belgium

Board a coach in Paris for the scenic drive into Belgium through the northern part of France. Bruges sits in northern Belgium, near the North Sea, in the region known as Flanders.

Despite the history of war in this area, the Medieval center of Bruges is amazingly well-preserved – so much so that the historic center is a UNESCO World Heritage Site.

Your visit to Bruges begins with a guided walking tour of the charming Medieval center, including ornately-decorated buildings, the Saint-Sang Basilica on Place du Bourg, the Beguine Convent, the Gothic City Hall and the 12th-century Markt Square with its iconic bell tower.

After the walking tour, take a brief canal cruise (for summer visits, from April to October) to see this charming city from the water, followed by free time to explore Bruges on your own. (Visitors during the rest of the year go straight from the walking tour to leisure time in Bruges.) Take advantage of your free time to see Flemish art museums, shops selling handmade lace or enticing Belgian chocolate shops.

What a trip! Bruges is so beautiful. The local tour guide was so knowledgeable. Really enjoyed the canal boat ride. Couldn't resist buying some handmade wooden Christmas ornaments. Highly recommended.

We really enjoyed this tour. The bus ride is 4 hours each way, and then you spend 5 hours in Bruge. They do stop at a rest stop on the way. The tour guide was very knowledgable and spent over an hour on the bus talking about the history of Bruge and Belguim. Once we were in Bruge, we went on a quick walking tour, where she pointed out the historic buildings and places to eat and shop. We then took a ride on the canal included in the price and spent the rest of the afternoon hours shopping, having lunch, and checking out the old beautiful buildings. Make sure you try the chocolate. Amazing!

This was a great trip. They only thing that I would highly advise is that you add a note were you remind people to make sure they have their passports with them. We were in Paris and were taking the tour from there. With all the excitement we left our passport at the Hotel. We could not go. They would not let us on the bus. However, they did re-schedule it for us and we did not loose the money.
It really worked out and the rep in Paris was awesome.

Worth the long bus ride to Bruges. The tour guide was amazing. I learned a lot from her and she made the whole trip and the city tour very interesting.

Our family of six, ages 10-16, thoroughly enjoyed this tour. The travel is a little long but it is broken up with a 30 min 'stretch your legs and grab a snack' break each way. The guides were very helpful and knowledgeable. The canal tour was pleasant and Bruges is a very quaint, delightful town. We wanted to spend a little more time there but it was a long day of travel.

Long bus rides from and to Paris but well worth it. An excellent guide who shared many wonderful things with us. The boat ride on the canals was fantastic. A long climb up the clock tower but the view to the port and beyond was worth every step.

What a beautiful place, unfortunately for us it poured with rain all day, that's nature though, but we still walked around, went on a canal boat ride and got absolutely drenched, this is a place a would love to go back and spend more time in. Despite the rain I could see the beauty of Bruge.
