What You Can Expect

Skip The Line Paris Catacombs Tour

See how Paris solved the problem of overflowing cemeteries in the 18th century on your Catacombs tour

Meet your knowledgeable guide at street level and prepare for a 1.5-hour guided tour of the Paris Catacombs. Head down 130 steps to reach the intricate network of tunnels, and follow your guide through what can be a confusing labyrinth.
Hear stories about how the Paris Catacombs were built as a massive underground cemetery, housing the bones of roughly six million people since the 18th century. Paris' dead were moved en masse from existing cemeteries to the Catacombs from 1786 to 1788. By the early 19th century, the Catacombs had already started to attract tourist attention.
In this tour, you'll have plenty of chances to ask questions of your guide as you walk through the tunnels. It's a unique opportunity to see a side of Paris most people miss.
After 1.5 hours touring the Catacombs, the tour comes to an end back at street level when you climb back up the stairs where you started the tour.

Egor was amazing! Very informative! I’m so glad we booked this! There was 12 of us total in the group. We skipped the line and got to see 2 areas closed off to the public. Highly recommend! You will not be disappointed!

Very informative guide and gave us a real understanding of the underground Paris tunnel system and then the catacombs themselves. Definitely a tour we would recommend to anyone wanting to visit this part of Paris!

David our guide was extremely informative on the origins, restoration and subsequent use of the catacombs. Beating the long, long queue waiting outside was very appreciated as it was very cold. I highly recommend this tour!

It was a great tour and Stephen was very informative. Definitely worth taking the tour to see the special rooms no one else can see, made it even more worth it!

This was the best tour of our trip! Must do. Great history and our guide Egor was awesome! Definitely worth skip the line. we got to see 2 areas that the regular tour does not do plus the line outside was long even in January and we didn't wait at all.

Great tour guide, knew his stuff, and very friendly. Its not a cheap tour, so you would have to be really into the catacombs. When we were there the line was what we thought very long, but the staff said that it can be 3 times that amount, so the skip the line pass was worth it as we would have spent half our day there standing in line.

Guide was fantastic. Totally worth the extra few dollars for the guided tour with a couple areas that are not on the self guided tour. Skip the line cuts the wait form hours to about 30 minutes on the day we were there.Amazing experience to see this type of history first hand.If you can't handle tight spaces this is not the tour for you.
