This was a very interesting side of Paris that most people don't see. David, our guide, was very informative and we enjoyed this tour and this part of Paris history. We would definitely recommend it.
We had a wonderful guide named Tuc (I hope I spelt this correctly). He was friendly and very knowledgeable. By choosing this tour we avoided queues, had a small group and were lucky enough to go into areas that are normally closed to the general public. We highly recommend this tour.
A really neat way to see the catacombs with a funny, knowledgeable and nice guide. The skipping the line is no joke, since to line is around the whole block. Also the fact that you learn so much more and get to see parts of the catacombs usually not open to the public makes is really worthwhile. I really liked how the guide allowed to take our time and had all sorts of interesting tidbits to add to everything. I was a little worried about finding him, but he was right by the entrance with the yellow umbrella, impossible to miss, so everything was super easy, interesting and well worth every penny. Yup, if you are considering the catacombs and you are an English speaker, this is the tour to take for sure. Also the other tour advertised here does not include the entrance fee and you have to stand in line.
This tour was amazing. The guide gave good historical background on the tunnels and the reasons for moving the bones. There was adequate time to to look at each section of the tunnels, and I got great pictures. It was truly fascinating. Overall, the walking was quite easy, with level, well lit pathways. It was relatively dry, with few puddles. If more than 6 feet tall, you may have to crunch down at times. The only significant exertion was walking up more than 80 stairs for the exit.

The tour was great. I really enjoyed it. The tour guide spoke 3 languages and was very informative. We walked a lot, so a person who might not well enough to walk and go up and down stairs should skip the catacombs. I highly recommend it for anybody visiting Paris. It's a unique place with lots of history.
Wonderful and intriguing tour. It was great to see some special sights not open to the general public. A definite must do in Paris.
This was a wonderful tour, I would do it again.Very interesting tour.
The your guide did an outstanding job providing interesting information, keeping the pace and speaking clear English so as to be fully understood! Thank You very much for an outstanding 2 hours!
Wow, did we do well picking out a tour from Viator for the Catacombs experience. We met our guide by the entrance, and got right in. The lines of people that did not do this in advance were lined up for blocks. Our guide was excellent, gave us a chance to go in areas where others could not go into. We learned so much, he took time for questions. We found the history and knowledge of the guide to be extraordinary. Very worthwhile, need to get the tour scheduled before you go, as you wouldn't want to stand in those lines.

An awesome experience and one I would recommend to anyone. Macabre but fascinating!
i appreciated having the opportunity to see an area not available to the general public - the recreation of the Spanish building.
Was a wonderful tour done by a professional and entertaining guide
It was worth the money, no line, very good stories and to the point.
It was great to be able to skip the line to enter the Paris Catacombs. It was especially great to have a very knowledgeable guide to explain what we were seeing over the 2 km walk through the tunnels. We also had access to part of the Catacombs that is not open to the general public.
This was a real experience to see. So interesting and our guide was great. Worth the money.Everybody should do a guided tour to get the information and to protect the catacombs from mindless destruction
The tour is worth it. First, you skip the crazy long line. Second, you get way more information, history, and stories about the catacombs then doing it on your own.
A very cool experience. Not for people who have trouble walking as there are a lot of stairs down and uneven footing once you are in the catacombs. My kids thought this was good as well 14 and 16 years old.
A guided tour is definitely the way to go. You get access to areas you would not be able to see going solo. The guide was also very informative, providing insight into the catacomb's history, prominent persons, dates, and even the modern cataphiles.
We really enjoyed the tour with David. Fascinating and informative!
