This was a fantastic tour! The line to get into the catacombs is very long, so it was lovely to be whisked to the front and let in immediately.
Our guide, Charlie, was fantastic! He was enthusiastic and knowledgeable and very entertaining. He clearly knew his stuff.
This tour was excellent! We got to see parts that are not open to the public and skipping the line was worth it. Our tour guide, Alberto, was fabulous. We highly recommend this!!
The tour was as described in the confirmation. Our guide, Randa made it a better tour. She was an American and spoke English perfect. She had so much information to share. This tour company's connection with the Catacomb staff got us into a few areas that are locked and not available if you do the self tour. It was nice meeting the guide at the entrance and bypassing the approx. 2 hr wait.
Interesting tour, an aspect of Paris not to be missed. Fantastic guide! He made it fun and educational!
Excellent guide only way to see this attraction of waiting in lines for hours
This was a wonderful tour. Nice size group so we can all see and hear the guide.
Important to note: There are a bunch of cramped spiral steps up out of the Catacombs. Wear appropriate shoes. The catacombs are slippery in some areas. One lady fell in our group, and several others had a hard time making it up the the steps at the end of the tour.
Our guide Randa was amazing! Very entertaining and really new the history of the Catacombs.
very unique. To avoid lining up long hours, this tour is perfect. The guide taught a lot of history. After tour, a lot to think what is the life?
Great tour, great tour guide, easy to locate meeting place. This is a must and I would only use Viator to book
First time going to the Catacombs after many trips to Paris. This is a great attraction to visit and one where skipping the very long line and having a guide made it much better.
This tour was way better expected! Tour guide was so informational, learned French history, cave history, history of cemeteries in Paris, and more. My personal groups raved to everyone we met that they should include this exciting historical place in Paris. Very very good.
Good guide, and very interesting history, good visuals, take a light jacket and expect to walk a long way, but well worth it, we had a great continental breakfast at a cafe just to the right of the Metro station, Paris has the best Coffee int the world.
Loved this experience, not for claustrophobics! Again brilliant guide and extra experiences than self guided tour
Our trip to the Catacombs was fantastic. Charlie our English host, a self confessed and #34;Cataphile and #34; - someone who loves going underneath cities into the history was a ripper host who well and truly new his history and background.
It and #39;s amazing there is some much history behind the catacombs.
Our guide, Lillia was her name I believe, was an excellent tour guide. She is a history teacher from America and now lives in Paris, and she came well prepared. She had pictures to go along with the stories she told. It was very fascinating . I learned so much about the catacombs. I wish I had more time with her to explore. Definitely ask for her as your guide.
Definitely worth doing if only to skip the crazy line for those waiting to buy tickets probably saved an hour at least! Our guide was Lilia ?, who had an incredible amount of knowledge about the history of the catacombs and of Paris. Absolutely recommend the tour, especially since otherwise you're just walking through tons of bones on either side of you honestly would have gotten bored and more creeped out after 5 minutes by myself...Much better to listen to the stories behind everything and have the little details pointed out! We also got to explore a locked off area of the catacombs that are NOT open to general/individual ticket holders, so that was cool.
Very informative and interesting. Our guide was friendly and very knowledgeable. Would highly recommend it as a better option than waiting in line.
Great guide and learned more about the history of how the bones got to the catacombs. Very interesting tour. If you have a walking issue you should not go to this tour. Most of the floor is damp and could be a little bit slippery and there are stairs you have to go up and down. Overall it was a good tour.
Great experience. Tour guide was very knowledgeable and explained the history of the Catacombs and the surrounding area very well. We were allowed to access areas not normally open to the general public which was a bonus. Well worth the additional amount spent. The bonus was we got to snooze a bit longer than planned in the morning, because we didn't need to wait in the line that was about 1.5 hours long when we got there at noon.
Good. Skipping the long and slow-moving line is worth it. As a bonus you get access to two restricted areas. Advice: 1) bring a sweater (it is cold down there), 2) bring a flashlight, 3) sometimes it is wet and drippy - closed shoes best, 4) not for claustrophobics, 5) not for the sensitive people
I and #39;d heard lots of stories of long queues and then missing out on entry. So I went with the tour. skipping the line was great but also the guide brought it alive for me and my children, loads of interesting facts and stories and we went thru some tunnels that closed to the general public. Well worth iti
