the Tour was great and the wine tasting was a very enjoyable end to a nice evening. Our tour guide Ruta was very informative and extremely knowledgable.
We attended a Friday night tour, which was a wonderful time to visit the Louvre. No crowds, even in the salon with the Mona Lisa. Our guide Rafaela was energetic and entertaining, providing knowledgeable perspectives on some of the Louvre's key masterpieces. And the wine tasting after? A brilliant way to finish the evening. Our only recommendation: make sure you have dinner before the evening tour, since you likely will want to hang around after the wine tasting well beyond closing time for most Paris restaurants.
The museum is beautiful at night....and less crowded, too. Our guide, Clair M., was fantastic....lots of knowledge and very passionate about the museum and the artwork.
The wine tasting made for a nice ending!
Best time to go to the Louvre-no crowds and really interesting information given to us from our guide. She knew a lot of interesting stories and found the best way to get the most from our short visit. The wine tasting and education at the Wine Cave was great. The wine was superb and the understanding of French wines and the areas of France involved was very helpful.
Taking the tour later in the day with a guide is the best way to see the Louvre. Plus she let us know to use the facilities before entering the Louvre as they charge 2 Euro to use the facilities! Our guide was very informative and was able to answer all questions plus keep the tour moving. Of course everyone wants to see the Mona Lisa but was also impressed with the Venus de Milo, Liberty Leading the People by Eugene, and most importantly The Apollo Gallery. After 2.5 hours I was more than ready for the wine tasting. The server was excellent and a perfect ending of a taste of Paris.
Excellent. We were so fortunate to have Carolyn - and due to the groupings, shared her with only another couple. She was very knowledgeable and fun to be with. Without her, we would have been lost in the cavernous halls of the Louvre. Wish she could have stayed for the wine tasting. We will recommend this tour to others. The wine tastings were excellent, with good selections and knowledgeable sommelier. The location in Louis XV's wine caves couldn't be beat. The sommelier gave us a great location for a follow-on wine experience that evening.
Wonderful! Our guide was excellent- instead of just pointing out each piece that we were viewing he took the time to discuss various details of the work and to engage everyone. I felt this allowed everyone to have an experience with each piece instead of just a glance. The wine tasting after the tour was the perfect end to the evening.
Our guide made this very enjoyable. I have Ben to the Louvre before but this was a more rewarding experience because of the information Claire provided. Highly recommend this tour.
The Louvre tour with the wine tasting was a solid tour. Our tour guide was extremely knowledgeable and had a great sense of humor. She showed us all the important works of art and provided explanations of the interesting facts that makes the art even more interesting. Our tour had a serious issue with three of the guest and the tour guide handled it the best she could. It wasnt smooth for the rest of the guest, but it was understandable. The Louvre was awesome what else can you say.
The wine tasting was a real treat, especially with the snafu we experienced during the tour. The man who provided the wine tasting was super funny and made the tasting so fun, while providing great information. It really was a lot of fun.
This was a great tour, our guide Joshua was great with his knowledge of the Louvre and his stories on paintings and sculpture, in which he got the group involved. Pleasure of this was Joshua got us to the main exhibits without issue and quickly. Wine tasting was very good and complemented with a tasty platter. Really enjoyable night.
Our tour guide Rafaell was amazing! Had such a lovely time at the wine tasting and it was a wonderful introduction to the Louvre
The key to the enjoyment of this tour was the tour guide. Raphael is a passionate art lover who transfers that passion to the tour giving us insight into the various paintings and pieces of scuplture that we viewed in our tour. Afterwards, the visit to the wine bar was a welcomed end to an eventful evening
Carolina was an absolutely wonderful guide. We'd recommend. Her many times over. She was insightful, engaging, and charismatic. She made the whole experience very fun. It was nice to go in the evening when the museum was slightly less busy. We could have passed on the wine tasting as it didn't feel like anything we couldn't have done our own.
Tour was fantastic! Our guide spoke fluent English and was very nice and accommodating to our group. He was extremely knowledgeable with the in and #39;s and out and #39;s of the louvre. Highly recommend...evening is the best time to go. We didn and #39;t need to wait to see the Mona Lisa and had some rooms to ourself
This tour was lovely and the wine and cheese pairing was the perfect ending to the tour! Very knowledgeable guide and was great to see some of the classics! Would recommend!
Loved the Louvre tour as it gave us so much more insight into a few exhibits and artists that I would never have known if we had of just walked around without a guide. The wine tasting was basic but loved the location of the bar in the caves and enjoyed meeting the other people on the tour.
Had a wonderful time! The tour guide was very informative and enthusiastic. Her passion made the tour unforgettable
We loved this tour. The Louvre is so vast that a guide is absolutety nessessary. We saw the Lady with the Smile and so much more. At the end of the tour we had a lovely little wine and cheese pairing with our group. During the tasting, we were able to talk with the guide and pick his brain about the different pieces we saw in the Louvre. Also, there is something very romantic about touring the Louvre in the evening!
We missed the evening tour with wine tasting but rescheduled for the next morning. Would definitely recommend the louvre tour it was amazing.
Extremely busy but what do you expect. We loved this tour because our tour guide only focused on the highlights such as the MONA Lisa and a few others. It was fast paced which really suited us ...In and out.
The walk to the cellar afterwards for wine tasting was enjoyable.
This was a wonderful tour. Our tour guide Tina was so insightful and well-educated on all the art we saw at the Louvre. When we went at night the crowds weren't as thick, which I recommend if you would like to have a meaningful experience. We got up close and personal with the Mona Lisa and the statues that used to stand in Versailles. Also, if there is something that you have always wanted to see, you can ask your guide to take you there, if the rest of your party agrees. Tina took us to Napoleon's apartments, which I asked to see, and she made it happen. After that, Tina took us to this little brasserie a 15 minute walk from the Louvre where we had a charcuterie platter to share between the two of us me and the hubby and 3 different wines from different regions... Very generous glasses as well. You will also have a sommelier tell you about the wines and the regions.
Excellent guide gave a great tour of the Louvre. The wine bar tasting was also a great way to end the evening.
A wonderful way to spend an evening in Paris.
We had a tour with just 4 of us - how awesome was that! Our tour guide was friendly and knowledgable, sharing information about the louvre, the paintings and her experiences in living in Paris. It was just the right amount of time to spend at the museum, and gave a great overview of what is in the Louvre. The wine tasting afterwords was really fun too. It was at a great little wine bar, great fun atmosphere. We loved meeting other people from around the world while we tasted wine. I would definately recommend this tour!!
Great tour! Joshua was excellent! He was so informative and knowledgeable! He made sure we could keep up w the group and escorted us to a taxi after bc of my husbands disability!
