What You Can Expect

Skip the Line: Louvre Museum Audio Tour

Admire the Venus de Milo on your audio tour of the Louvre

Avoid standing in a long queue on your Paris vacation with this skip-the-line admission to the Louvre that includes an audio tour. Your experience starts when you pick up your museum map and audio guide at a central location in Paris, near the Louvre. Then head to the museum and skip the ticket line, going straight inside to begin your independent tour.

One of the world’s biggest museums, the Louvre is quite overwhelming. But don’t worry — your map outlines suggested itineraries and your audio guide provides interesting information about the most-loved and best-known works of art on display. Hear about the histories and meanings behind statues like Venus de Milo, paintings like The Coronation of Napoleon and world-famous pieces like Leonardo da Vinci’s Mona Lisa. See ancient artifacts, the Babylonian Code of Hammurabi, works by Raphael and Rembrandt, sculptures by Michelangelo and much, much more.

After the 2.5-hour audio tour ends, you are free to stay at the museum to continue exploring at your leisure. When you get tired or hungry, visit one of the many on-site eateries, or purchase gifts and souvenirs at the bookstore.

Leave whenever you wish, but make sure you return the audio guide to the location where you picked it up before 8pm.

The only waiting I did was at the security checkpoint! This is the only way to get into the Louvre and start your experience!

The process of picking up our audio guides was great. Super smooth with friendly staff.Went straight through and avoided long security lines! Worth the $. The audio guide was just the right amount of information and i could go at my own pace. But do yourself a favor and book 1st thing in the am. The Mona Lisa line/cattle call was insane. If you're there early you'll avoid what I went through for a

Skip the line was wonderful as it can be quite long to get in. The longest wait was the line to pick up the tickets at the tour operator office.

This was a get way, to find all those famous pieces of art you've heard about. Then take off the audio guide and explore back through to find your own favorite masterpieces. Highly recommend!

Without the skip the line you will be in line for a LONG time. This museum is a must see since the Mona Lisa is here. I have to say how surprised I was at how small the picture is - I expected it to be much bigger. This was a self-guided tour and included an audio and map to the paintings. Beautiful museum but very crowded when we were there. We selected a self-guided as I am the only real art lover in our group. A three hour guided tour would have been too much for us.

Enjoyed this. Did tons of walking and lots if steps. Not sure how much the skip the line price got us in earlier as there seemed to be some confusion . Not sure it saved us much time for the extra amount that we paid

You can't imagine the Mona Lisa. It really looks different in person. Love the audio tour as we can stop and go at our leisure.
