What You Can Expect

Skip the Line: Louvre Museum Audio Tour

Admire the Venus de Milo on your audio tour of the Louvre

Avoid standing in a long queue on your Paris vacation with this skip-the-line admission to the Louvre that includes an audio tour. Your experience starts when you pick up your museum map and audio guide at a central location in Paris, near the Louvre. Then head to the museum and skip the ticket line, going straight inside to begin your independent tour.

One of the world’s biggest museums, the Louvre is quite overwhelming. But don’t worry — your map outlines suggested itineraries and your audio guide provides interesting information about the most-loved and best-known works of art on display. Hear about the histories and meanings behind statues like Venus de Milo, paintings like The Coronation of Napoleon and world-famous pieces like Leonardo da Vinci’s Mona Lisa. See ancient artifacts, the Babylonian Code of Hammurabi, works by Raphael and Rembrandt, sculptures by Michelangelo and much, much more.

After the 2.5-hour audio tour ends, you are free to stay at the museum to continue exploring at your leisure. When you get tired or hungry, visit one of the many on-site eateries, or purchase gifts and souvenirs at the bookstore.

Leave whenever you wish, but make sure you return the audio guide to the location where you picked it up before 8pm.

Skip the line is something highly recommended to make the most out of your time. This audio guide is great for your first experience in the museum as it takes you to the highlights so you can then explore the areas you are most interested in.

Definitely the way to go. Self paced but plenty of information.

It was very smart to purchase the skip the line, the line to get in was HUGE... I was directly in with no line. Loved seeing all of the old art. Really liked the carriages.

We were there early, so the skip the line was pretty useless. But if you are going in the afternoon, it's definitely recommended.

Great tour. Allowed us to go at our own pace and see what we wanted to see. The audio guides were very informative

Loved the Lourve. Best to get there early before most people turn up. Research what pieces you want to see as there is so much to look at. Definitely get a map as the map given with this audio tour was very confusing and didn't show all the levels/areas.

A great way to see the Louvre when you are short on time. It was nice to be able to see what we really wanted to see and decide how much time we wanted to spend at certain exhibits. The audio tour gives great detail Highly Recommend!!!

Well I can't rate the tour because we were so late we missed it...we didn't realize we had to check in at office before going...kind of a pain..I did ask the girl when I booked if we just get in special line and she said any rate the girls at office were very nice..on return with audio equipment I couldn't find the ticket and they gave us our deposit back anyway. Very friendly and even though we got messed up about ticket the office is very close to louvre entrance. Refund in British pound so that was nice.

The tour is a requirement as the Louvre is simply massive and too big to enjoy on your own plus you would have no clue where to find the art you may be specifically looking for. This tour is really great because the pick up location is directly next to the museum so it is convenient. The office is efficient as far as processing, the equipment is in very good shape, and the cost is very affordable.

Absolutely enjoyed this tour with my sisters. The audio helped us navigate through the entire museum and we took our time as we were on our own. We spent five hours exploring the magnificent works of art and we would go back the next time we're in Paris.
