What You Can Expect

Skip-the-Line Louvre Museum Tour and Montmartre Sightseeing with Funicular Ride

Enjoy skp-the-line entry to the famous Louvre Museum

Your half-day tour starts at a central location in Paris, where you’ll meet your guide and board your coach or minibus. Head north to Montmartre in the 18th arrondissement, and walk around this lively and charming quarter with your guide.

Learn about Montmartre’s rich history, which dates back many centuries and includes the era when artists like Monet, Dalí, Picasso and Van Gogh lived, worked and socialized here. Hop on the funicular to ride up to the top of the hill, where you can admire a panoramic view over the city. Then head inside Basilique du Sacré-Coeur, known for its Romanesque and Byzantine architecture. You have time to explore the basilica on your own before returning to the bus for the drive to the Louvre.

When you arrive, cruise past the ticket queue with your skip-the-line admission, and follow your guide along the esteemed hallways of this world-renowned museum. See its best-known pieces like Mona Lisa by Leonardo da Vinci and Venus de Milo, an ancient Greek statue, and marvel at other works like Delacroix's Liberty Leading the People and Géricault's The Raft of the Medusa.

When your guided tour of the Louvre ends, you are free to stay at the museum on your own to continuing exploring its treasures, or return to your original departure point on the tour bus. (Note: On Wednesdays and Fridays, the Louvre is open later; on these days, it is possible to stay until 9:45pm at no additional charge).

This was an excellent tour. Our guide made the event fun and told us a lot about the artists where they lived etc.We got to spend a lot of time at the Louvre after the tour was over and explore it on our own.

The tour was very well organized and our tour guide was very knowledgable. Having a tour guide, particularly in the Louvre was a huge benefit, not to mention the skip the line feature! I would highly recommend this package and make sure you go on a night that the Louvre is open later so you can stay on your own after the guided tour and explore more!

Great tour, guide was very informative and full of knowledge regarding the village! I was very impressed and excited. The vendor should advise that this isn't for people that can't walk up a hill or steep street. We had a woman that couldn't do the full tour.

Visiting Montmartre was a different experience. The old town, its survival with the surrounding, dominating Paris with its view, and its independence. Really it was a center of artist...
Louvre tour is a must, specially with interested guided personal to scim its important points in one afternoon.

Tour was organized and timelines were good but our guide definitely could of been better. Although somewhat informative she was having difficulties enduring the tour physically and we were victims of her laboured breathing through our headsets. This was very unpleasant and when told, she dismissed it and sarcastically said we could hear her because she was alive. Instead of turning the microphone away from her mouth or turning it off when she wasn't talking. It was extremely annoying. One couple quit the tour in Montmartre and went on their own. It would of been nice if there would of more enthusiasm during the tour. We left Montmartre feeling a bit underwhelmed and unsatisified. The Louvre tour was a bit better. The guide managed to highlight a few important works of art and was interesting but in the end she called us The Survivors meaning that she is use to losing a few people along the way. What does that tell ya? I think it's time for this guide to either get a second wind and burst of enthusiasm or hang up her headset.

Tour was ok. Louvre was worthwhile as a quick intro but Montmartre no tour given. We were dropped off with almost no orientation to the area.

2 star rating: It was OK, but could have been better April 2016

Very disappointing- quite a disorganised start, much time wasting and re walking turf already covered. tour guide Linda was friendly but quite flustered at first. Too much wasted time in Montmarte and too much rushing at the Louvre .
