Very informational tour. Our guide Charlie was interesting and obviously knowledgeable about the tour. The Cathedral was beautiful and I am grateful to have been able to see it.
Our guide provided very useful informations on the history of Cite island with passionate and professional presentation style.
The guide was a great little Irishman not French ?? with a professional friendly presentation style.
Looking at the long lineup at Notre Dame I was thankful for the skip the line access although those waiting appeared not as happy
We did this tour during our first full day in Paris. Meeting coordination was as noted and we had a decent sized group. The Cathedral of course is awesome and the guide was quite engaging and well informed.
There was a bit of a delay getting through the tower line -- on the order of a half hour or so. That caused some coordination problems with a couple of others on the tour as they had a subsequent tour closely timed.
Also, it should be made clear that the 400 step walk can be troublesome for some. It was clear that at least one touring person was not going to make the walk up the tower -- that's not a fault of the description, except perhaps to include a note that the tower walk is REAL exercise.
My wife and I could have gone all the way up but stopped at the bell tower level due to time constraints -- that 30 minute delay getting access to the steps, plus a couple of delays by the Tower security people grabbed up some spare time for us.
That being said, this was an excellent tour and the guides explanation of other sites in the one hour lead up to the Cathedral portion of the tour were very much appreciated.
It might be useful here to make sure people realize that the tour really has three components.
1 A walking tour of Ile de la Cite about an hour or so.
2 A guided tour of the inside of the Cathedral about 30 minutes
3 The skip the line access to the tower once the guide gets you in at this point, the guided portion completes.
That might reduce some confusion. Also, we do wish that 30 minute hold for tower access could have been less -- say 15 minutes or less.
Josephine was an awesome tour guide. I and #39;ve gone on tours of Notre Dame before, but Josephine gave excellent insight and new information that I and #39;ve never heard before! By all means, go on this tour. The climb to the tip-top was spectacular!
Ben was our tour guide. Very knowledgeable. Many interesting facts provided which would be very rare for an outsider to learn in a short trip. Highlight was the visit into the Notre Dame where Ben and #39;s expertise came in handy and the explanation of the front doors symbols.
outstanding! from the knowledge of the guide to his interpersonal skills.
Fantastic tour guided by Avi who was simply fantastic! Avi and #39;s commentary and knowledge were just superb. The skip the line tix to enter the bell towers were definitely worth it. Highly recommended..!!
This was a great tour and our guide was extremely knowledgable. It was definitely worth paying extra to go up in the bell tower as you get a great view of the city.
Wonderful tour! Martin was so knowledgeable and fun. We had a great time walking around the Ile de lat Cite and of course, climbing the steps of the bell tower. I would recommend this tour!
This was one of the best tours of the trip. The guide was exceptional, Her knowledge of history and her passion combined to make a very enjoyable tour. She turned it into living history. It was so far superior to going through with the headphones and prerecorded information. I would look to this company and this guide inparticular,
This tour was well worth the price! The line was long and would have detracted from the experience. Our guide was wonderful and knowledgeable about Notre Dame and the surrounding neighborhoods. The views from the towers were spectacular! Would highly recommend this tour!
I enjoyed this tour. Guide was informative and pleasant. The cathedral is free for all but you have to pay to climb the tower. Tour included a brief history lesson and a walk around the area before getting to Notre Dame. I would recommend it.
This tour was very informative. Tour guide was great. But the best part was the choir singing in Notre Dame and the bell tower. What a thrill to go inside by the bells. Loved it!!
tour guide was very knowledgeable and answered many questions. we had time to really look at and absorb the beauty in Notre Dame. I would definitely use your sight again
Short and enjoyable tour with a guide Fabrizia who was enthusiastic and always smiling. Skip the line access to the bell tower certainly adds something to the tour as you enjoy the views across Paris and get up close to the famous gargoyles.
Excellent tour. Highly recommended for the history of the island and even better was not having to queue to climb tower.

The tour was very informative. Our guide, John, was knowledgeable, patient and funny.
This was our first tour we booked after arriving in Paris the night before. Avi was our guide, and he was exceptional. He came to Paris more than a decade ago to study at the Sorbonne, and never left. He obviously loves his history, and was really well informed about the history of the Ile de la Cite, which is the history of Paris itself, so this was a great tour to take first. After meeting at the Cite Metro Stop, we strolled around the island, while he explained the beginnings of Paris and the colorful history of the important government buildings there. Then we waited briefly in the security line for Notre Dame and viewed the cathedral, while he pointed out fascinating details. When you are with a guide who loves to tell other people about things that fascinate them, it is so much better than someone who just read Wikipedia and spouts out some facts. Avi had the in-depth answers for all of our questions. After touring the downstairs of the cathedral, we were able to skip-the-line for the towers. And this was a really long line that has to keep waiting for tour groups to go ahead of them. I am sure that the regular line was at least an hour or more of a wait for the towers. They only let a certain number of people up the stairs at a time, and then let a group come down the stairs before letting another group of people up. It's a long spiral stone staircase, and a good workout. The view from the top is fantastic. You can see all of Paris as you walk 360 degrees around the top. You can see some of the heavy bells inside the tower. We happened to be up there exactly at noon, while the bells were chiming. It was amazing.
I originally booked this tour only for the chance to go up the Notre Dame Tower but it was more than that. I learned so much more than I was expecting in the lle de la Cite tour. It was a good way to start off our Paris visit, learning of the history of the city and the many kings. Everything was much more meaningful when you learned the background. Our guide was very nice and personable and actually from the US so there was not a problem understanding her. The view from the towers cannot be beat. For those who can do the steps the reward is great! I did wish that our guide had accompanied us up the tower to tell us more about Notre Dame and what we could see.
Our tour guide was awesome! This is a must see! You will figure out why this is the Jewelry Box cathedral!
