Traveler Tips

It is also very difficult to contact Viator when there is an issue unless you make an account with them.
Skipping the long line is a must and having a guide give you the background and history is very helpful.
Get ready for the crowds but worth all the haste.

Great 1st time visit with Francois!
Monica_A, Dec 2022
Francois was our guide for the Louvre and gave us a very detailed, thoughtful tour of four different exhibits during our time in Paris. We had a group of 10 and Francois made sure to include every person and take the time to answer questions and interact with each of us individually. He is extremely knowledgeable and passionate about the art, and even if you are not familiar with the art or have visited an art museum before, he provides lots of guidance to help you understand the art piece and how to look at it from different perspectives. Thanks Francois!

A must do!
GUY_P, Nov 2022
Best tour of the Louvre I’ve ever done to date! This was my third visit and I discovered things about the Louvre I’ve never seen or heard of before. Our guide, Helen, was phenomenal! I would recommend this tour to anyone. It was worth every dollar!
A tour fulfilling our expectations!
Konstantinos_P, Nov 2022
A visit to one of the world’s most significant museums, requires a tour guide, who would make our overall experience smooth, helping us avoid queues and crowds, selecting the most important exhibitions (since we couldn’t handle spend more than 3-4 hours in the museum) and explaining to us all the details. This was our expectation before the tour. I can say that this expectation has been fulfilled 100%. Great job!
Disappointed and wanting a refund
anna_M, Nov 2022
Meeting point was vague. After calling the contact numbers for clarification and being disconnected by the agent three times, I gave up. I waited in line for an hour paid for my own ticket and did the Louvre on my own.
Don’t waste your time
Jonathan_F, Nov 2022
The tour ran half an hour late without much of an explanation as to why. The experience felt rushed once in the Louvre. Would have preferred to do a tour outside of the guided tour provided
Worst experience ever
Sarah_E, Nov 2022
Terrible experience, I tried to enter the museum. It was raining and nobody gives me any answer. I lost my money
Small group?
John_M, Nov 2022
Tour guide (Amelie) was friendly. The “small group” was 27. Guide has been give. A microphone with a dead battery, so between organizing 27 people and getting a new charged microphone, it took quite some time to get started (maybe longer tha.n the benefit of “skipping the line”). Once started, the size of the group Was unwieldy, and the pace slow. We departed to make the visit on our own after 15 minutes, just after the Sphinx. For us, not worth the time.
Enjoyable
Charishma_W, Nov 2022
Friendly, helpful tour guide. Great visiting the museum and seeing the original Mona Lisa painting but, our departure point was so difficult to find and our tour guide was overly chatty.
Smooth entry into Louvre...
KAWAN_W, Nov 2022
Smooth entry into Louvre Museum, the tour guide was very informative and helpful. I was a nice experience. Thank you.
Highly recommended tour
Vicki_D, Nov 2022
After a rocky start (couldn't find the right meeting place, but we were early enough that it didn't matter), everything clicked nicely. Our guide, Francois, was very pleasant, very knowledgeable about the museum. He had so many details about the sculptures and artwork that we had a much better appreciation for them. I hope that Paris City Vision recognizes his worth! We wandered for another hour or so after the tour, and it was easy to realize how much we had learned from Francois, compared to just being able to see an artifact.

Visit the Louvre
Thomas_S, Nov 2022
The Louvre is so massive and we only had a short time to be introduced to the highlights of the museum. Our guide did just that. We walked and he talked making us feel part of the beauty of the building. It was a wonderful tour.

Not recommended. Please read all reviews.
Binny_M, Nov 2022
My experience was very bad. I would book with someone else and not through viator. When you get the ticket you don't see a number who to call it brings you to a chat with your guide or representative.
Great guide on a highlights tour.
Jamie_R, Nov 2022
Wonderful tour that hits the highlights. Julien was very knowledgeable, interesting and fun! Great opportunity to get right into the Louvre for an interesting tour and then stay to explore once it’s done! Lots of walking and stair so be prepared!
Very Disappointed.
Jeanettr_A, Nov 2022
I signed up for the Louvre your and was late because I didn’t get the information needed in time. So, I went back and forth trying to find out information. Finally, I got to the place that sells tickets and had to purchase another ticket that was not guided. The person selling the tickets was very rude, I wish that I could at least get my money back for the guided tour.
Great trip to the Louvre!
beth_S, Nov 2022
Great experience! The meeting place was a little challenging to find. But once inside, our guide was a gem!
